Mainte nance Guidelines f or an Exter nal Stor age S y stem • Bef or e you c hange settings o f the exte rnal stor age sy stem, y ou must de lete the e xternal v olume mapping . After y ou change s ettings of the e xternal s tor age sy stem, y ou must r emap the e xternal v olume.
T o k eep the load proper , HP reco mmends the follo wing: ◦ Def ine volume s of each AM S 2000 ser ies st orage s yst em to set the e xternal path n umber to tw o. In that ca se , set the paths to the ports of eac h contr oller of the AM S 2000 ser ies stor age sy stem.

7 . R ight-clic k the WWN in the WWN , and then cli ck Add in the pop-u p menu . The c r oss-sub sy stem path is added t o the Selec ted P aths w ith the selected inf ormati on. C onfi gur e mor e than two c ro ss-subs yst em paths for one path gr oup .
8. R epeat the operati on of the Raise Pr iority command until the r ow of the s elected path appear s in the head of the Selected P at hs list and its Priority column c hanges to 1 . When the Pr iority column change s to 1 , it means the cr oss-subs yst em path is set as the usuall y used o ne (primary path) .
