Cleaning the keyboar d and mouse When cleaning the keyboard ke ys, use a low setting on a battery- powered vacuum cleaner, to avoid removing key cap s and springs. 1. Vacuum between the keys of the keybo ard and along the grooves. 2. Use a clean, dry cloth and iso propyl (rubbing) alcoho l to clean buildup on the keyboard keys and along its edges.

Symptom Possible solution Computer seems to be locked up and is not resp onding. Use the Task Manager to clos e any programs not respond ing, or restar t the computer: 1. Press the Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys on the keyboard simultaneously. 2. Select Task Manager .
Display (monitor) Symptom Possible solution Screen is blank. Press th e space bar on the ke yboard or move the mouse to make the screen display visible again. Press the Sleep button (select models only) , or Esc on the keyboard, to resu me from Sleep mode.
Keyboard and mouse (wireless) Symptom Possible solution Wireless keyboard or mouse does not work or is not detected. ● Ensure that you are using the wireless keyboard or wireless mo use within range of the receiver, approximately 3 meters (10 f eet) for normal use, and within 30 cm (12 inches) during initial setup or for re -synchronization.
Speakers and sound Symptom Possible solution No sound is produced. 1. From the Start screen, type c , select Control Panel , and then select Syst em and Security . 2. Under Action Center , select Troubleshoo t common computer probl ems , and then select Troubleshoo t audio playback .
