This stands in direct contrast with the demand for communication in Indian languages.

3.2 Spatial mapping of gestures In order to limit the technological complexity o f recogniti on and ther eby trying to reduce ins tances of er rors, we have mapped t he gestures on the coordinat es of the writi ng space. This means that th e number of e lements t hat needs to be recognized has been reduced.
3.5 Deleting using the GKB The Devnagari script is very diffe rently from rom an sc ripts because of the conjun cts it forms when Consonant- Consonant-Vowel modifier, Consonant-Vo wel-Vowel com bination happens.
4.1 User study 4.1.1 Objective The objective of this e xplorat ion was to find the ave rage size users take t o write conso nants and m odifiers (mat ras) and to find relat i ons hip between han dwritin g sty l es with di f fere nt pen grip diam eter and tip thic kne ss.

5 Conclusions This keyboard has been accepted quite well with the novice users who have ne ve r used Devnagari keyboard before. In our smal l sessions of use r studies they all seem to be satisfied and were able to achieve a speed of 10- 12 syllables per minut e.
