Y ou did not slide the lens co ver f ar enough. • Slide the lens cov er until it click s. The batter ies are f unctioning incorr ectly , are dead, ar e installed incorr ectly , are missing , or ar e the wr ong type.
77 Troubleshooting and support The ca mera does not turn on (conti nued) . The o pt ion a l memory card is not a supported card or is corrup ted. Ensure that the memory card is the prope r t ype f or your camer a (see page 121). If the card is the pr oper type , remo ve the memory card and see if y ou can turn on the camer a.
78 HP Photosmart E327 User Guide I have to replace or rec ha rg e t he batteries frequently . Extended Image Displa y use f or vid e o rec o rd i ng, exc es s ive f l a s h use, or Display Brightness set to High , inc rease s the rate o f batt ery drain.
79 Troubleshooting and support The ca mera does not respond whe n I press a button (conti nued) . The ca m era is connected to a computer . Most of the came ra buttons do not r espond when the camera is connected to a compu ter .
80 HP Photosmart E327 User Guide A long delay occurs between pressing the Shutter button and the camera taking a picture (continued) . The ca mera is using a flash setting with red- eye re d u ct io n. It will take l onger to take a pictur e with red-e ye r eduction .
81 Troubleshooting and support My image is blurry . The light is lo w and the flash is set to Flas h O f f . • In dim light , the camera requir es a longer exposu re , and it is diffi cult to hold the camera stead y for mor e than 1/60 of a s econd.
82 HP Photosmart E327 User Guide My imag e is too bright . The fla sh pro vi ded too much light . • T urn the flash off (see page 2 6) . • Mov e back fr om the subject . Yo u u s e d EV Compensa tion when you should not hav e. Set EV Compensation to 0.
83 Troubleshooting and support My image is too dark. The fl as h was on, but the subjec t was too far away . Make sure your subject is within the flash working distance (see page 119). If not, try using the Fla sh O f f setting (see page 2 6) . This setting will require a longer exposure, so use a tripod.
84 HP Photosmart E327 User Guide My imag e is too dark (continued) . The Displa y Brightnes s needs to be adjus ted. Set the Displa y Brightness in the Setup Menu to Medi um or High (see page 60). My imag e is grain y . The ISO Speed setting was too high .
85 Troubleshooting and support Images are missing on m y camer a. Y ou installed a memory card after taking o ne or more ima ges. When you install a memory card , images in internal memory are no t visible. Mov e the images fro m the internal memory to the memory card (see page 6 5) or remov e the memory card .
86 HP Photosmart E327 User Guide The cam e ra res pon ds ver y sluggi shly when trying to review images. A slo w opti onal memory car d (lik e an MMC card) t hat is installed or t oo man y images on the car d can affect proces sing times. See Storage on page 121 and Memory capacity on page 12 3 for tips abou t memory cards.
87 Troubleshooting and support I receiv e an error message while transfer ring images from the ca mera t o my computer . A pow er surge or electr ostatic dischar ge may have int errupted the transfe r . Close the HP Photosmart Softwar e, disc onnect the camera f rom the computer , and re set the camera (see page 68).

91 Troubleshooting and support The image is too large to magnify . The image wa s proba bly tak en wit h an o th e r camer a. T ransfer the image to y our computer and r esi ze it using the HP Photo smar t Software. The image is too la rge to rot at e.

95 Troubleshooting and support No pri ntable images in memory . or No pri ntable images on card. The ca m era ha s no still images. Vide o cl ips cannot be pr inted direc tly fr om the camer a. Disconnect the camera fr om the printer , then take still images befor e reconnecting the camer a to the printer .
96 HP Photosmart E327 User Guide There is a pr oblem with t he print er ’s ink. The ink cartridge may be lo w or the ink cartridge may not be supported fo r the print er . Install a supported pr inter cartridge , turn the printer off , then turn it back o n.
