T o use the digital zoom 1 T urn on the camera and go to Priev iew mode. 2 Press the zoom co ntrol towa rd the teleph oto ( ) pos ition and hold it.

T o do thi s, press the IMAGE DISPLAY ON / OFF ( ) button or t urn the camera off. Creating a pri nt order Y ou can use you r camera to s elect the images th at you want to print.
Managing images o n the camera 15 Y ou can print ph otos from y our print o rder in one of two ways : l When y ou transfer you r images from the camera to a computer , the print order is copi ed along wi th them.
HP photosmart 612 User Guide 16 Tip T o r emove an image from a print order, set the number o f copies for th at image to zero. Deleting your images Y ou can delete a s ingle imag e or all im ages from the camera. After an ima ge has bee n deleted, it cannot be recov ered.

The curren t image qu ality se tting is in dicated b y one, two, or three stars o n the status LC D. In additi on, if the ima ge displ ay is on, GOOD , BETTER or BEST a ppears i n the status li ne.

If you h ave create d a print or der for those im ages, the p rint order i s copied to the CF mem ory card along with the image s.

HP photosmart 612 User Guide 52 Y ou have an ac power adapter connected to the camera, but it is not connected to a power source. When you have an ac adapter connected to the camera, the camera does not use bat tery power even if the adapter is not connected to a power source.
T roubleshoot ing 53 The NiMH batteries you are using were recharged incorrectly . Y ou must recharge all four NiMH batteries after fully draining them f our times for t he batteries to reach their optimum capacity and performance. The w rong date and/ or time is shown.
HP photosmart 612 User Guide 54 The memory card that you have in the camera is dam aged or is not form atted. Format the memory ca rd or replace it with a new , formatted c ard. A yellow lig ht appears next to the viewfinder when I press the shutter butt on halfway down .
T roubleshoot ing 55 My image is too dark. There was not enough light. Wait for natural lighting conditions to improve, add indirect lighting, or use the flash to illuminate your subject. The flash was on, but the subject was too far away . The flash can only illuminate objects t hat are within 2.

The computer does not recognize the camera and the automat ic image unload does not st art. The camera is not configured correc tly for the type of computer you have.
T roubleshoot ing 57 CF CARD REQUIRES FORMATTING The CF memor y card needs to be formatted. Format the CF memory card. INVALID DATE! Y ou set an invalid date, such as Februar y 31, 2002. Use the dial to set a valid date. NO IMAGES ON CF CARD Y ou attempted to view images, but no images are stored on the CF card that is in the camera.
