Overview The HomeBase is a single charging cradle that can pow er one Apple ® iP od touch ® /Apple iPhone ® sled and charge its battery in four hours f or non-healthcare sleds and six hours for healthcare sleds . If the iP od touch/iPhone is inserted into the sled, it will be charged along with the sled.

P o wer The terminal requires 5 V olts DC input for battery charging; the power adapter on the po wer cab le conv er ts the v oltage from the power source to 5 v olts DC . Use only a UL Listed pow er supply , which has been qualified by Hone ywell with output rated at 5VDC and 3A amps with the de vice.
Connecting P o wer to the HomeBase 1. Plug the wall adapter cable into the power connector on the back panel of the HomeBase. 2. Plug the A/C power cord into a standard wall outlet. The HomeBase is ready to begin charging the sled/iP od touch/ iPhone.
Charging the Battery 1. Install the main battery pack in the sled. 2. Verify the HomeBase has power. 3. Slide the sled into the well. Charging begins immediately if required by the sled or the iPod touch/iPhone. If the iPod touch/ iPhone is installed in the sled, the battery icon at the top of the screen indicates that it is charging.
