− − − Child ren depend o n adults t o protect them. However, despite t heir best int ent ions, many a dult s do not know how to protect child passengers. If yo u have children, o r ev er need to driv e wit h a child in your ve hicle, be sure t o r ead t his sec tion.

Make sure t he shif t lev er is in the Par k ( P) posit ion (A /T v ehicle s). Turn th e ig ni ti o n sw i tch to th e ON (II) posit ion, and ope n the driv er’ s door.
