8 GB HO W TO US E T HE BLOO D P RE SS UR E D E VI CE Applying the cuff 1. Remove all watches, jew eller y , etc. prior to attaching the wrist monitor . Clothing sleeves should be rolled up and the cuff should be wrapped on bare skin for correct measurements.
GB 9 (X) Correct Measuring P osture 1. Place your elbow on a table so that the cuff is at the same level as your heart see Fig . E. NOTE: Y our heart is located slightly below your armpit a bit to the left of the middle of your chest. Relax your entire body , especially the area between your elbow and fingers.
10 GB Important notes regarding your blood pressure measur ement • T ake your reading in a comf ortable environment as measurements can be aected by hot or cold temperatures . T ake your blood pressure at normal body t emperature. • Do not move or talk during measurement as this can elevat e readings.
GB 11 How to measure blood pressur e 1. Press the “ ” to turn on the monitor . 1. When the monit or is turned on the monitor will adjust itself to zero , inflate and will take your measurement automatically . 1. When the measur ement is completed, systolic , diastolic and pulse will be shown simultaneously on the L CD screen.
12 GB Deleting your rec ords If you did not get the correct measurement, you can delete all r esults by the following steps. 1. When the unit is off , hold “MEM” for 3 seconds to enter the deleting menu. The flash display “ dEL ALL ” will show.
GB 13 Cleaning and maintenance The blood pressure monitor and the cu can be wiped with a soft cloth moistened with a mild detergent and wiped dry with a soft, dr y cloth or paper to wel. Never use strong , caustic detergents as these may cause damage to the syn thetic par ts .
