About your thermostat 1 About your thermostat Thank you for purchasing your new Omnistat2 electronic communicating th ermostat. Your thermostat will provide you with comfort, convenience, and energy s avings for years to come. The Omnistat2 is a pre cision digital therm ostat.
Getting to know your thermostat’s controls 2 Getting to know your thermostat’s contr ols To take advantage of all the benefits and f eatures offered by your new thermostat, we r ecommend that you start by becoming familiar with its controls. Scroll Wheel Turn to adjust the temperature, navigate menus, and change values and settings.
Getting to know your thermostat’s controls 3 Adjusting the color of the thermostat display: To adjust the color of the thermostat display press and hold [HOLD] while turning the Scroll Wheel: Press and hold [HOLD]. While pressing [HOLD], turn the Scroll Wheel to adjust the color.

Changing the desired temperature se ttings 7 Changing the desired te mperature settings To change the desired temperature setting , sim ply turn the Scroll Wh eel. With the first turn of the Scroll Wheel, the Temperature Settings Page is displayed: Turn the Scroll Wheel to adjust the temperature setting for the current mode.
Changing the thermostat m ode 8 To change the t hermostat mode, pre ss [M ODE]. When first pressed, the M o de Setting Page is displayed: Changing the thermostat mode ¾ In Off mode, the heating and air condition ing systems are both off and do not respond to changes in the temperature settings.
About the fan and hold se ttings 9 To change the fan setting, press [FAN]. When first pressed, the Fan Setting Page is displayed: About the fan and hold settings ¾ In Fan Auto mode, the fan runs only when the s ystem calls for heating or cooling. ¾ In Fan On mode, the fan runs co ntinuously.
About the hold settings 10 About the hold settings In Hold mode, the thermostat will not change the desired te mperature settings by program schedule or remote system. ¾ In Hold Off mode, the thermostat responds to program schedul e and remote system temperatur e setting changes.
Setting the time and date 11 Setting the ti me and date To set or change the curre nt time and dat e, press and hold [M ODE] for 5 seconds: Turn the Scroll Wheel to adjust each item for the time a nd date. After each item is set, press the S croll Wheel or [Next] t o adjust the next item.
Modifying th e program schedule 12 Modifying the program sche dule Your new thermostat has been preprogrammed with en ergy saving settings according to the ENERGY STAR ® program. You may modify the times and temperature settings to m aximize en ergy savings and comfort based on yo ur lifestyle.
Modifying the program schedule 13 ¾ The time is incre ased and decreased in 15 minute increm ents. ¾ To disable a period, set it and the next period to the same time.

When the desired Heat Setting is displayed for the selected period, press the Scroll Wheel to highlight the Cool temperature setting.
Modifying the program schedule 15 Turn the Scroll Wheel to highlight the desired day(s). Press the Scroll Wheel to check the box next to the day(s) in which the current schedule will be used. When the desired days have been selected, press [Ok] to save the schedule tor each of the checked days.
