• 3 Lift the front crossbar and inse rt the left end into the left hull. Lift the rear crossbar and inse rt the left end into the left hull. NB : The crossbars have stops built into the un- derside that will limit the depth the crossbars can be in- serted.
• 4 NB : A tight t rampoline gives the boat its rig idity. TRAMPOLINE Trampoline fittings Proceed to lace the trampolin e halves along the rear first. Do not tighten. Tighten the trampolin e lacing s and attach them as in- dicated on the picture . 1 Thread and tighten the center trampoline lacin g from front to re ar .
• 5 Locate the tille r crossbar and identify the left and right hand ends. NB: the tiller crossbar (1) locates on top of the tiller/rudder arms (2). Locate the tille r connector kits and install as shown on the pho- tographs. Identify the right and the left rudders.
• 6 Remove the main and jib halyard lines from the ro pes bags. Unroll th e main halyard w i re that is secured at the head of the mast. Using a bo wlin e knot, secure the main halyard line to the thimble at the end of the halyard wire. Now, secure both en ds at the base o f the mast.
• 7 With the person on the trampo line supporting the mast , the other person shackle the two brid les to the stay ad juster at the end of the fore sta y. Now, provided all the clevis pins have the split rings fitted, th e mast is supported by the shrouds and fore stay.
• 8 Unfold the mainsail and lay on a flat clean surface. Undo th e set of batt ens and iden tify which batten g oes in which batten pocket . Inse rt the battens into the pockets. Using the batten ties sec ure each batt en into it’s respe ctive pocket (as per draw ing).
• 9 These pictures show how the mainsheet system is assembled and shackled to the travelle r car and the clew of the mainsail. 1 2 MAINSHEE T 3.
• 10 Before installing the jib on the Hobie Wave, you must first install the parallel bow spreader (provided with the turbo kit). Install bow spreader tangs on each bo w un de r ex is- ting bridle wire tang as shown. Pin faces towards center. With trampoline loosened, place bo w spreader in position on pins ins- talled on bows.
• 11 RIGHTI NG LINE Take the righting lin e from the rope bag and attach it to the fr ont crossbar as indi- cated on the picture. Store the excess line in the trampoline pocket.
