3 English WHA T IS WHA T? 1. Throt tle lev er: Device act ivated by the operator ʼ s fi nger , for controlling the engine speed. 2. Throttle le ver lockout: Device that pre vents the accidental operation of the throttle lever until manually released.
4 English ○ Make sure the automatic oiler is wo rki ng. Kee p the oil tank fi lled with clean oil. Never let chain run dry on the bar . ○ All chain saw service, other than the items list ed in the operator ʼ s/ owner ʼ s manual, should be per formed by compet ent chain-saw ser vice personnel.

A new chain will stretch so adjust the chain after a few cuts and watch chain tension carefully for the fi rst half hour of cutting.

If the throt tle lever ke ep s rotating at high speed with the chain locked, the clutch will ove rh eat causing trouble . NOTE Always ke ep the spiked bumper face to a tree, beca use the chain may suddenly be drawn into a tree.
