19 THE REMOTE CONTROL In addition to controlling all the functions on your HIT ACHI Projection TV , the new remote control is designed to operate dif fe rent types of VCRs, CA TV (Cable TV) converters, set-top-box, satellite receiver (SA T) and DVD players with one touch.
20 HOW T O USE THE REMOTE TO CONTROL YOUR TV POWER button Press this button to turn the TV set on or of f when the remote is in TV mode. (See page 19 for instructions on how to set the remote control to TV mode.
21 HOW T O USE THE REMOTE TO CONTROL YOUR TV ASPECT button Press this button to quickly change the picture format ASPECT ratio. Depending on the input signal format received, the picture format ratio allows you to adjust the images through the following options.
22 INPUTS button When the remote control is in TV mode, press this button to access the INPUTS menu. Use the CURSOR and SELECT buttons to select the inputs that are being used. Pressing the INPUTS button repeatedly will also cycle through the Inputs menu items.

25 PICTURE-IN-PICTURE (PIP) NOTES: 1. PIP MODE Picture-in-Picture is only available with a 1080i signal. 2. Press the CURSOR buttons ( or ) to enable the sub-picture sound.
26 PICTURE-IN-PICTURE (PIP) THE REMOTE CONTROL SPLIT MODE PICTURE-IN-PICTURE Split Mode PIP displays the main picture and sub-picture evenly on the screen. Main Picture Sub Picture SURF MODE PICTURE-IN-PICTURE Surf Mode PIP automatically scans all active channels (those set in memory) and displays them as PIP sub-pictures.
27 PICTURE-IN-PICTURE (PIP) P AUSE button If you wish to freeze the sub-picture, press the P AUSE button. This is convenient when trying to write down the address for a mail order company , recording statistics for a sporting event, etc. T o return the picture to motion, press the EXIT button.
28 USING THE REMOTE T O CONTROL CABLE BOX FUNCTIONS Operating the precoded function for your cable box. This remote is designed to operate different types of cable boxes. Y ou must first program the remote to match the remote system of your cable box (refer to page 32 for pre-codes).

VIDEO 39 Use this function to adjust and balance the percentage of Red, Green and Blue according to the user ’ s preference in each of the four color temperature settings.

AUDIO 41 Multi-Channel T elevision Sound will allow you to select STEREO (a stereo broadcast), MONO (monaural sound) used when receiving a weak stereo broadcast or 2nd Audio Prog (SAP) which may be a secondary language, weather report, etc. The sources received will be displayed at the top right edge of the TV .
42 ASPECT Mode This function manually selects the ASPECT Mode from six (6) choices. Use the CURSOR buttons , , and to select menu item. Press the CURSOR button to select. Auto Aspect Automatically adjust the Aspect Ratio depending on the input signal to fill the screen.
43 CHANNEL MANAGER Select ANTENNA if you are using an indoor or outdoor antenna. Select Cable if you have cable TV . Use CURSOR buttons or to highlight the correct Channel Source. Press the SELECT buttons to select highlighted source. Press EXIT to quit the menu or select CHAN.
44 CHANNEL MANAGER This feature will automatically store active TV channels in Auto Channel Memory . This will allow you to skip unused channels when using CHANNEL UP ( ) or DOWN ( ). If the EXIT button is pressed while A UTO CHANNEL SCAN function is engaged, programming will stop.
45 CHANNEL MANAGER Press CURSOR buttons or to review more channels. Press EXIT to quit the menu or select CHANNEL LIST to return to the previous menu. 46 CHANNEL MANAGER This section contains advanced features which will make TV viewing easier and more enjoyable. Use this feature to give up to 20 channels a name when ANTENNA signal source is selected and up to 60 chan- nels a name when Cable 1 or 2 signal source is selected.
47 LOCKS This function will block out the picture and sound of the selected channel or video input. It can also be used to keep the TV from being viewed for a scheduled time period that you set. The code to enter the Locks feature is a four digit access code number .
