Hook the lift assist spring between the cutter deck right side lift brac ket and the retaining bolt (Figure 58).
9. R epeat 7 and 8 on the opposite side of the cutter deck. 10. Chec k the front-to-rear blade slope; refer to Adjusting the Front-to-R ear Blade Slope. Adjusting the Front-to-Rear Blade Slope Check the front-to-rear blade slope whenev er you install the cutter deck.
13. When the front-to-rear slope is cor rect, tighten the piv ot plate mounting bolts (Figure 63). 14. When the front-to-rear blade slope is correct, c heck the side-to-side lev el of the cutter dec k; refer to Leveling the Cutter Deck from Side-to-Side .
A broken or missing w ashout tting could expose y ou and others to thrown objects or to blade contact. Contact with the blade or thrown debris contact may cause injur y or death. • Replace broken or missing w ashout tting immediately , before using the cutter deck again.
10. R emo v e and inspect the spark plug; refer to Ser vicing the Spark Plug . With the spark plug remo ved from the engine, pour 2 tablespoons of engine oil into the spark plug hole . Use the electric starter to crank the engine and distribute the oil inside the cylinder .
T roubleshooting Problem Possible Cause Corrective Action 1. The blade control (PTO) is engaged. 1. Disengage the blade control (PT O). 2. The parking brake is not on. 2. Set the parking brake. 3. The battery is dead. 3. Charge the battery . 4. The electrical connections are corroded or loose.
Problem Possible Cause Corrective Action 1. The drive control is in the Push position. 1. Move the drive control to the Operate position. 2. The traction belt is worn, loose, or broken. 2. Contact an Authorized Service Dealer . The tractor does not drive.
