T o end the muting, pr ess this button, adjust the volume , or turn off the rec eiver . Channel/Page C ontrol : When the tuner has been selected, this con trol changes a preset radio sta tion.

15 ENGLISH C ONN E C T IONS There ar e different types of audio and video connections used to connect the receiv er , the speakers, the video displa y , and the source devices. The Consumer Electronics Associa tion has established the CEA® color-coding standard.
16 C ONN E C T IONS Digi tal Audio The A VR 460/A VR 360 is equipped with four HDMI (High-D efinition Multimedia Interface) inputs, and one output. HDMI t echnology enables digital audio and video information to be carried using a single cable, delivering the highest quality picture and sound.
17 ENGLISH C ONN E C T IONS Video Connec t ions Many sourc es output both audio and video signals (e.g ., Blu-ray Disc or DVD player , cable television bo x, HDTV tuner , satellite bo x, VCR, DVR). In addition to the audio connection, make one type of video connection for each of these sources ( only one at a time for any sour ce).
18 SPEAK ER PL A CEMEN T Optimally , the speakers should be plac ed in a circle with the listening position at its cent er . T he speakers should be angled so tha t they directly face the listening position.
19 ENGLISH GET TING ST A R TE D Installing the A VR 460/A VR 360 and connecting it to the other system components can be complex. T o simplify installation, it is suggested that you design your system befor e you begin connecting wires and cables .
20 GET TING ST A R TE D Decide which sources to c onnect to each of the video 5. inputs : Assign only one unique video input to each sourc e. Use the best type of video connection available for each source .
21 ENGLISH INS T ALL A T I O N Y ou are now ready t o begin installing the A VR. Before beginning to connect the various components t o the receiv er , turn off all devices, including the A VR 460/A VR 360, and unplug their power cor ds. Don ’t plug in any of the power cor ds until you have finished making all of your connections .
22 INS T ALL A T I O N If any sourc e devices are equipped with a compa tible Remote IR Input, use a 1/8" (3,5 mm) mini-plug inter connect cable (not included) to connect the A VR’ s Remote IR Output to the source device ’ s Remote IR Input .
23 ENGLISH INS T ALL A T I O N STEP N IN E – Plug in AC P ower C ords Before plugging the A VR into an unswitched electrical outlet, make sur e the Main Po wer Swit ch on the rear panel is off , to prevent the possibility of damaging the A VR in case of a transient power surge .
24 INS T ALL A T I O N Enter a code fr om 4. Step 1, abov e . If the device turns off , press the Source Selector again to save the code . a) It will flash and the remote will e xit Program mode .
25 ENGLISH IN I T IAL SE TU P In this section, you will configure the A VR 460/A VR 360 to match your actual system. A video display must be connected to one of the video monit or outputs on the receiv er .

27 ENGLISH IN I T IAL SE TU P Audio Effects : Displays the Audio Effects submenu, where y ou may adjust the Dolby V olume setting, the bass and treble tone con trols , the LFE trim, the Equalization On/Off setting and the MP3 enhancement . These settings affect each source independently .
28 IN I T IAL SE TU P Resolution to Display : This setting r eflects the video output resolution, which is dependent upon the capabilities of the video display .

35 ENGLISH TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE PROCESSOR RESET If the unit behaves err atically after a pow er surge, first turn off the Main Po wer Swit ch and unplug the AC po wer cor d for at least 3 minutes . Plug the cord back in and turn the r eceiver on. If this doesn ’t help , reset the A VR.
