The A VR 460/AVR 360 is capable of being customized to suit y our system and your tastes. In this A dvanced Functions Manual, some of the more adv anced adjustments available are described.
5 ENGLISH A D V AN CED Fu NC TION S The first number indicat es the number of front channels in the signal: “1” repr esents a monophonic recor ding, usually an older program tha t has been digitally remaster ed or , more rarely , a modern program for which the director has chosen a special effect.
6 A D V AN CED Fu NC TION S MANUA L SPE AKER SETUP The A VR 460/A VR 360 is flexible and may be configured for most speakers , and to compensat e for the acoustic charac teristics of your r oom. The EzSet/EQ process aut omatically detects the capabilities of each speaker , and optimizes the A VR 460/A VR 360’ s per formance.
7 ENGLISH A D V AN CED Fu NC TION S The main room will be c onfigured automatically for up to 5.1 channels. See the Multizone Operation section for more informa tion. NOTE : When the Surround Back speakers are set to “Zone 2” , they will not be configured during the EzSet/EQ proc ess.
8 A D V AN CED Fu NC TION S STEP FO UR – Se tt ing Channe l Out put Levels Manually For a con ventional 2-channel receiver , the balance control affects the stereo imaging by adjusting the rela tive loudness of the left and right channels . With up t o seven main channels, plus a subwoofer , imaging becomes both more critical and mor e complex.
9 ENGLISH A D V AN CED Fu NC TION S VIDEO ADJUST M E NTS The A VR 460/A VR 360 uses leading- edge Far oudja DCD i Cinema video processing t echnology . Incoming video may be upscaled up to 1080p (1080i with component video outputs) for outstanding video quality , even with analog video sources .
10 A D V AN CED Fu NC TION S MPEG Noise Reduction : This setting is designed to address two specific types of video distortion, mosquito noise and blocking ar tifacts.
11 ENGLISH A D V AN CED Fu NC TION S Converg ence an d Edge Foc us The crossha tch pattern that may surr ound the test screen may be used to evaluate edge focus and c onver gence in front- or rear-pr ojec tion video displays.
12 A D V AN CED Fu NC TION S HDMI Audio to T V : Determines whether HDMI audio signals are passed through the HDMI Output to the video display . In normal operation, leave this setting Off, as audio will be pla yed through the A VR. T o use the TV by itself , without the home theater system, turn this setting On.
