2.1 Rear Panel Connections I E C Power Cord Receptacle The dbx 266xs com es with a power supply that will accept voltages r angin g from 100V-120V at fr equencies from 50Hz-60Hz. An IEC cord is inclu ded. EU version accepts 220V-240V at frequen cies fr om 50Hz-60Hz.
2.2 Fr ont Panel Connections STE R E O C O U PL E Switch This switch sets the 266xs for Stereo or Dual Mon o operati on. Press the STEREO COUPLE switch in for ster eo operation wh ere Channel 1 becom es the m aster contr oller for both channels .
OVE REAS Y ® Switc h Depress this switch to select the OverEasy® compressi on char acteristic. The amber THRESHOLD LED turn s on when the si gnal is in the OverEasy region. When the switch is out, the 266xs operates as a har d-knee compressor , and the amber LED does not ligh t.
Compressor A T T A C K and R E L EA S E Control The A TT ACK contr ol sets th e amount of time it takes the 266xs to begin compressing a sign al once the detector has sensed a si gnal above threshold .
Expander/ Gate R A TI O Control This contr ol sets the amoun t of attenu ation applied to th e input sign al once it is below th e thresh old, fr om gentle down ward expan sion (appropriate for mix ed program, vocals, etc.), to a hard gating effect (which can be useful f or per cussion).
