Installation 311209J 5 Installation Install gun as f ollows: • connect material hose • connect the electrical cab le • mak e sure the gun is g rounded Connect Heated Hose 1. Screw ada pter onto gun s wivel (A) and tighten securely . 2. Securely connect hose to gun s wivel (A).
Installation 6 311209J Gr ound the System The f ollowing grounding instructions are minim um requireme nts f or a basic dispensing s ystem. Y our sys- tem may include other equipme nt or objects that must be grounded . Check y our local electrical code for detailed gr ounding instructions f or your a rea and type of equipment.

Operation 8 311209J Operation Heatup 1. T urn ON electr ical controls and main air to unit . 2. Lock dispense v alve tr igger open b y pulling and securing trigger using trigger retainer (Z). 3. Activ ate heat cont rols. 4. After pump , hose, and gun are up to temper ature, release gun tr igger reta iner (Z) to close valv e.
Operation 311209J 9 Dispensing 1. Star t pump . Fluid flow rat e is controlled at pump . Adjust pump p ressure to ob tain desired flow rate. Use lowest pressure necessar y to dispense fluid . The pressure adjustme nt depends on hose lengt h, fluid viscosity , and nozzle size .
Troubleshooting 10 311209J T r oubleshooting . Some solutions require disassembling gun. Alwa ys relie ve system pres sure and disconnect e lectrical cab le bef ore perf orming these procedures .
Service 311209J 11 Service 1. If fluid contin ues to flow afte r trigger is released: • gun v alve ma y need adjustme nt, • gun v alve ma y be obstr ucted or damaged, • or needle assemb ly (4) or seat (6) ma y be worn or damaged. Replace needle asse mbly ( 4) or seat (6) as instructed on page 12.
