Carb uretor Assemb l y Y our ne w freezer uses a metering de vice, kno wn as a carb uretor , to feed the proper ratio of mix and air into the freezing cylinder . F or products such as dair y based shake mix es , the proper mix to air ratio is gener ally accepted to be two par ts mix to one par t air .

Mix Low Function (cont.) buzz er is out of the circuit and the light will illuminate fully again. After the 10-minute cycle the mix out saf ety func- tion is activated making the unit inoper ab le. The machine is placed into the standby mode to pre vent any damage to the machine from running dr y of product.

Consistenc y Contr ol - Over vie w (cont.) In the “standby” mode the control board senses the temperature of the product in the barrel. The dr ive motor is cycled on time only . It will operate f or 2 minutes ON then 18 minutes OFF as long as it is in “standb y”.

D ail y C leaning P r ocedure (cont.) Note: The best wa y to remo v e an “O” Ring is to first wipe off all of the lubr icant using a clean paper towel. Pinch the “O” Ring upward with a dr y towel betw een your inde x finger and thumb . When a loop is f ormed in the “O” Ring, roll it out of the groov e with y our other thumb .
Sanitizing Carb uretor and V alve Components (cont.) 8. Slide the valv e plunger spring ov er the small end of the v alv e plunger and, using another clean piece of paper toweling, pic k up the valv e plunger at the outlet end and insert plunger and spr ing into the valv e body (figure Q).
Sanitizing and Refilling (cont.) 11. W atch the product flo wing out of the dispensing v alv e and close the V alve when the sanitiz er remaining in the cylinder has been purged by the ne w mix. 12. Use a clean piece of paper toweling to insert the sanitized carburetor assembly into the inlet hole in the hopper (figure V).

Reassemb l y (cont.) 5. Disassemble the carb uretor assemb ly and remov e the O-Rings . W ash and sanitiz e all par ts. 6. Reinstall and lubricate the O-Rings and slip on the outer tube if equipped.
How to Clean Exposed Filter: 1. Slide e xposed filter out of the rails b y pulling f orw ard on the filter . It is recommended to remov e the filter b y using the palm of y our hand and applying e v en pressure to the f ace of the filter . 2. Clean filter with liquid soap and water .
Ann ual Maintenance (cont.) 4. Remov e dasher assemb ly , inspect stator bear ings and replace shaft seal set. (See Care and Cleaning). 5. Remov e rear panel and inspect "V" belt. 6. Inspect the drive shaft square hole f or wear (rounding-out).
