Installation 8 312794E Installation General Inf ormation Prepare the Operator All persons who oper ate the equipment must be tra ined in the opera tion of all system components as w ell as the proper handlin g of all fluids. All operators must thor- oughly read all instruction man uals, tags , and labels bef ore oper ating the equipme nt.

Operation 312794E 11 Operation Pressure Relief Pr ocedure 1. Engage t he trigg er lock. 2. Close the bl eed-type master air v alv e. 3. Disengage the trigger loc k. 4. Hold a metal par t of the gun firmly to a grounded metal pail. T rigger the gun to reliev e pressure.
Operation 12 312794E Prime and Adjust the Pump 1. Lock gun trig ger . Remov e tip guard and spray tip from gun. Refer to gun manual. 2. Close gun air regulato r and pump air regulator (H) by tur ning knobs countercloc kwise reducing pre s- sure to zero .

Estab lish a prev entive maintenance sched ule by recording when and what kind of maintena nce is needed, and then determine a regular schedule f or checking y our system.

Repair 16 312794E Reconnect the Displacement Pump 1. Tilt the air motor onto its bac k, then hand turn the displacement pum p into the adapter pla te. Set the pump upr ight agai n. 2. Hold the air m otor piston r od up with one ha nd. With your other hand, put the cou pling nut (9) on the dis- placement ro d.
Repair 312794E 17 Disconnect the Air Motor 1. Flush the pump , if possible . (See page 13.) Re liev e the pressure. (See pag e 11.) 2. Disconnect the ai r and fluid hoses , the grou nd wire (13), and t he tie rod shie ld (11). 3. Hold the fla ts of the air mo tor piston r od with a wrench.
