3 9 A bou t Re c o r di ng 4 - Operations About Disc T ypes/F ormats • DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD+R W discs are always f ormatted in “ Video” mode— the same as pre-recor ded DVD-Video discs. Once finalized, you can play DVD-R, DVD+R, or DVD+R W discs in most regular DVD play ers.

4 7 Making a New Pla ylist -RW ( VR) Y ou can creat e a custom playlist of the contents of y our recor ded discs. Y ou can then edit this playlist without disturbing the original contents of the disc . 1 Pr ess DISC MENU/LIST . 2 Select the first title (or chapter) you want to add to y our new playlist and press ENTER.
4 8 DVD Recor der+VCR User ’ s Guide Deleting Titles/Chapters +R, +RW , -R, -RW ( Video), -RW ( VR) There are tw o places to delete titles and chapters: Pla ylist Menu - If you delete a title or chapter from the “Pla ylist ” menu, it is only remov ed from the playlist; the title/chapter remains in the “Original” menu.
