13 Chapter 2 Getting Started Before you start to use the GTV- 580, please conn ect it with the AC adapter and plug to power socket for battery charging. When it is in charging, the status in dicator w ill be amber . If the battery is fully charged, th e status in di cator w ill be lit on green.
14 Att ach GTV - 580 to Cradle (DVB-T module) Release Lock 1. Place the GTV-580 at a downward angle into the base of the cradle. 2. Align three grooves and dockin g connector to push down GTV-580 inward until th e top clip locks into place. 3. Clean w indshield glass thoroughly with glass cleaner.
15 Charging your GTV -580 Plug th e end of AC adapter or DC ch arger in to the ch arging connector of GTV-580 or DVB-T mo dule. The power LED w ill light. When batt ery is fully charge d, the LED becomes green. SD card sticker Pastes SD PULL L ABEL on the SD CARD .

20 V ideo Player Video Player T ap this icon to play th e clip . T ap this icon to pause th e clip . T ap this icon to stop pla ying. T ap this icon to select the clip.
21 Select Vi deo Files Scroll up or dow n to select video files from the previewing area. All video fi les (. wmv , .mpg) in t he SD card folder “Video” will be shown on the pr eviewing area.
22 Photo V iewer Photo Viewer Photo Viewer will search for the “P hoto” folder of the SD card for all supported i mage files and display in thumbnail mode. Use up or down arrow buttons to scroll the page. T a p t o s e l e c t a n image and tap the Full Sc reen button on le ft side to view th is image in full screen .
23 Setup Mode Setup Screen Display the Flash memory capa cit y , SD card capacity , the PCB v ersio n and the fir mw a re version in format ion. Show battery status. While charging, the battery animation will be activ ated. Change backlight brightness.

25 Power M anagem ent Show battery status. While ch arging, the battery animation will be activ ated. T ap to check the box to enable power sa ving. If the GTV -580 is conn ected to the AC adapter , the power saving will be disabled. Set the time for power savin g.
26 Brightness The backlight brightness has 0~6 levels from left to right. The default is set to the 6 th level. Cancel and go back to Setup Screen. Sav e th e setting you made an d go back to Setup Screen.
27 Regional Setting Set the time a nd dat e of your local area. Set t he date . Select th e lan guage o f the syst em. Set the time zon e. Cancel and go back to Setup Screen.
28 Screen z Ru n th e screen calibr at ion prog r am. Pr ess a nd h old th e stylus o n the c enter of th e target. R epeat on four corners. When the new calibr ation is do ne, tap the scr een to sav e the setting or wait for 3 0 seconds to cancel the cali br ation.

32 Talking mode Press this bu tton to mute your voice. The other party could not hea r your voice . T ap it agai n to resume. Press this butto n t o hang up the phone. Press this bu tton to show the extension numbe r input screen. Press this button to switch callin g source betw een cell phone an d GTV -580.
33 Setup Search Device: T ap on this button to search the Bluetooth device nearby . Up to 10 devices can be searched. If pairing process is finished, it r eturns to Main screen . If pairin g proces s is failed , it retu rns to Pin Code screen. Up to 4 Bluetooth paired device s can be stored in the list of PND .
34 Device List z Up to 4 Blue toot h paired d evice s can be st ored in t he device list. Y ou can select a Bluetooth device from this list. The selected device will be h i ghl ig ht. Connect: Conn ect to the select ed device and go back to main screen.
35 Set PND Name z The default name of the P ND is “GPS B T Carkit” . Y ou can change it as your w ish. When you fi nish editing, pr ess this button to confirm. Press this b utton to switch between alphabetical and numerical keypad. Backspace key to delete from the last char acter .
36 Version info z Display the h ardware and softw are version of Bluetooth module. Go back to Setup Screen..
37 Reset Default: R estore the facto ry d efault settin gs of Bluetooth. Clean Phone Book: Clean th e phone book data which downloaded from y ou Bl uetooth cell phone.
38 Search and connect to your Bluetooth phone Tap on Setup icon to enter Setup mode. Tap on Search Device icon to search you r Bluetooth cell phone. GTV-580 begins to search the device.
39 The found device is shown on the list. Tap on the devic e you want to connect with. If connection is established, th e name of the connected device will appear on the upper right corner of screen.
40 Make a call Tap on the Phone Dialer icon. The dialing screen appears. Input the number and tap o n Dial button. The dialing screen appears. Phone call is established.
41 Bluetooth S tereo Playback Tap on the Stereo Playback icon, and then select your device from device list. If connection is established, it shows the A2 DP screen. Y ou can play , pause or stop music from screen buttons. Bu ttons for Next and Previous ar e also supported.

44 z Whil e you are in TV mode, you can to uch anywhe re on scre en to displa y the OSD ( On Screen Display) menu. z If t here is no touch action within 3 second s, the OSD me nu will disappear automatically. Main Setup screen Close an d back to previous screen.

51 Chapter 6 Troubleshooting If the GTV -580 does not boot up successfully or does not function pr operly 1. Please check if th e Applic ation software is properly installed in the SD memory card. 2. Please check if th e SD memory card is inser ted into the SD expansion slot.
52 L If your ca r window s equippe d with Window Films for redu c i ng heat and b l ocking t he harmf u l UV ra ys , it m ay also slightly affect the receivin g of GPS sign al. Thus, th e cold start ti me will ta ke longer the n usual. L If the car is mo ving, it may also affect the time for GPS fix.
53 Safely Remove Hardware Before you remove the memory ca rd fro m the card reader, or bef ore you unplug t h e USB cabl e fr om the devi ce or USB p ort, please safely remove t he hardwa re by th e followin g processes: 1. Double click the " Safely Remove Hardware " icon from the task bar on the right botto m co rner of desktop.
