6 CONNECTING AND OPERA TING THE DVI T O VGA CONVERTER How to Connect the DVI to VGA Converter 1. Connect a DVI source to the DVI In connector using the provided DVI cable. NOTE: The DVI to VGA Converter only supports DVI-D sources. 2. Connect a VGA cable between the VGA monitor and the DVI to VGA Converter .
7 EDID MANAGEMENT EDID Modes 1. EXTERNAL MODE : In order to use the external (display) EDID, the DVI to VGA Converter must be powered after it has been connected to the display . If the Converter is powered before it is connected to the display , then the internal EDID will be used.
