Other O ptio nal Access ori es The headset socket i s locat ed on the right side of the handset . It is a standard 2. 5mm plug. S im ply plug t he heads et i nt o t he s ocket . The headset w i l l be activ at ed w hil st t he microphone on t he handset wil l be deact iv ated.
LCD Scree n Navigat ion The key i s used to activ ate the menu. The key is al so us ed to deact iv ate the menu and r eturn to standby mode from any menu. Selec t a Base Your handset c an be used wit h up to 4 bases. Note: In order t o use the handset wit h more than one base unit , the handset m ust be registered wi th each base (see Regi ster a New Handset secti on).
Using the Belt Cli p The bel t clip suppl ied all ows you to conv enientl y carry t he handset around. A ttach Belt Clip Att ach the belt clip t o to t he rear of t he handset. The handset t hat c ame wit h your base is alr eady register ed to t he base (f actor y s et ti ng) . Thi s is register ed as handset 1. Each additi onal handset you purc hase must be r egist ered to the base. Up to 6 handsets can be regi ster ed to one base uni t.

This setti ng is only r ele v ant if you have subscri bed to a Call er Di splay servic e.

Dialling M ode ( T/P) In t he UK, all telephone ex changes now u se Tone di alling. T he dial mode setti ng i s pre-set t o Tone. If your telephone does not di al out, it is probabl y bei ng us ed f rom an older priv at e sw i tc hboard (PB X). In this case, t he dial mode must be changed to Pulse.

Smart Dialling S ettings Your t el ephone can search f or a co m pl ete number when you s im pl y enter the fi rst di git(s) of the number. The tel ephone num ber can onl y be displ ayed if this number i s current ly stored i n the tel ephone m emory (eit her phonebook, r eceiv ed or diall ed recentl y).
The f eatur es des cr i bed in thi s secti on are only av ailable if y ou subscribe t o a Call er Display ser v i ce from your network provi der . Call er Di splay means you can see who is cal li ng on your handset displ ay (prov ided t he number is not withheld, unavail able or is an i nter national call).

Receiving Volume Duri ng a conver sati on, the or keys adjust the ear piec e v olume level. The v ol u m e can be adj usted fr om lev el 1 to 3. The sel ected v olume is displ ayed in t he LCD display. The receiv i ng volume r ange is 0dB to 12dB . Last Num ber R edial To r edial the last num ber di alled: Pi ck up handset.
