If your model has a door latch, do not lock the oven door with the latch during baking or roasting. The latch is used for self-cleaning only . Preheating and Pan Placement Preheat the oven if the recipe calls for it. T o preheat, set the oven at the correct temperature.

Y our new touch pad control has additional features that you may choose to use. The following are the features and how you may activate them. The special feature modes can only be activated while the display is showing the time of day . They remain in the control’ s memory until the steps are repeated.

Control Lockout (on models with number pads) Y our control will allow you to lock out the touch pads so they cannot be activated when touched or cleaning the panel.

How to Set for T imed Baking/Roasting—Immediate Start and Automatic Stop NOTE: T o understand how the oven control works, practice using regular (non-Sabbath) Immediate Start and Automatic Stop before entering the Sabbath mode. Make sure the clock shows the correct time of day and the oven is off.

T ouch the WARMING DRA WER pad. “Hot” and “1” are lit on the display and “Set” begins to blink. On the number pad, touch 1 for Low , 2 for Medium or 3 for High. The display “1” changes corresponding to the number pad selected. T ouch the ST ART pad.

25 For the first self-clean cycle, we recommend venting your kitchen with an open window or using a ventilation fan or hood. Remove the broiler pan, broiler grid, all cookware and any aluminum foil from the oven—they cannot withstand the high cleaning temperatures.

The electrode of the spark igniter is exposed when the burner head is removed. When one burner is turned to LITE, all the burners spark. Do not attempt to disassemble or clean around any burner while another burner is on. An electric shock may result, which could cause you to knock over hot cookware.

W ash burner caps in hot, soapy water and rinse with clean water . Y ou may scour with a plastic scouring pad to remove burned-on food particles.

Installation Instructions DIMENSIONS AND CLEARANCES Provide adequate clearances between the range and adjacent combustible surfaces. These dimensions must be met for safe use of your range. The location of the electrical outlet and pipe opening (see Gas Pipe and Electric Outlet Locations) may be adjusted to meet specific requirements.

37 Installation Instructions PROVIDE ADEQUA TE GAS SUPPL Y Y our range is designed to operate at a pressure of 4 ″ of water column on natural gas or , if designed for LP gas (propane or butane), 10 ″ of water column. Make sure you are supplying your range with the type of gas for which it is designed.

LEVELING THE RANGE A. Install the oven shelves in the oven and position the range where it will be installed. B. Check for levelness by placing a spirit level or a cup, partially filled with water , on one of the oven shelves. If using a spirit level, take two readings—with the level placed diagonally first in one direction and then the other .

Be sure to allow for the countertop over hang if you intend to install the range next to cabinets. B.
