8 Throughout this manual, features and appearance may vary from your model. How to Light a Gas Surface Burner Make sure all the sur face burners are placed in their respective positions. Push the control knob in and turn it to the LITE position. Y ou will hear a little clicking noise— the sound of the electric spark igniting the burner .
9 In Case of Power Failure In case of a power failure, you can light the gas sur face burners on your range with a match. Hold a lit match to the burner , then push in and turn the control knob to the LITE position. Use extreme caution when lighting burners this way .
10 Most griddled foods require cooking on a preheated sur face. Preheat griddle according to the guide below , then switch to the desired cook setting. IMPORT ANT NOTES: ■ Avoid cooking extremely greasy foods and be careful of grease spill-over while cooking.

For many foods, especially roasts and poultry , internal food temperature is the best test for doneness. The temperature probe takes the guesswork out of cooking foods to the exact doneness you want. Use of probes other than the one provided with this product may result in damage to the probe.

Cookware for Convection Cooking Before using your convection oven, check to see if your cookware leaves room for air circulation in the oven. If you are baking with several pans, leave space between them. Also, be sure the pans do not touch each other or the walls of the oven.

Y ou may find that your new oven cooks differently than the one it replaced. Use your new oven for a few weeks to become more familiar with it. If you still think your new oven is too hot or too cold, you can adjust the thermostat yourself.

37 Lift-Off Oven Door The oven door is removable, but it is heavy . Y ou may need help removing and replacing the door . T o remove the door , open it a few inches to the special stop position that will hold the door open. Grasp firmly on each side and lift the door straight up and off the hinges.
Oven Light Replacement CAUTION: Before replacing your oven light bulb, disconnect the electrical power to the range at the main fuse or circuit breaker panel. Be sure to let the light cover and bulb cool completely . The oven light bulb is covered with a removable glass cover that is held in place with a bail-shaped wire.
