SAFETY INSTR UCTIONS WARNING Do not work inside the equipment unless totally familiar with electrical circuits. Hazardous voltage which can cause electrical shock, burn or serious injury exists inside the equipment. Turn off the power at the mains switchboard before beginning the installation.

2 2. DISPLA Y UNIT The display unit can be installed with either of f our m ethods as shown below. Ref er to the outline dra w in g at the end of m anual. • Locate the unit away fr o m exhaust pipes and vents. • The mounting location should be well v entilat ed.

5 4. WIRING The figure belo w sho w s the connection of cables on rear of display unit. Ground the display unit to prevent loss of sensitivity and mutual interference.

7 5. INITI A L SETTINGS Checking Operation 1. T urn on the G P-90. 2. Confi rm that "OK" and "BEACO N RCVR I N S T ALLED" are di splay ed on the self -test display . Confirm that "BEACON RCVR INST ALLED" is displa yed when DGPS function is provided.

For exam ple, it can output position d ata to a radar or echo sounder for display on their d isplay screen. You can convert a Loran Plotter t o a GPS Plotter w it h position data from the G P- 90.
