5 EN THINGS TO DO FOR THE FIRST TIME Attaching th e Base Y ou must attach the ba se to the unit to have it as a table top unit. Be sure the fr ont and rear of the base match the proper direction. To remove the base from this unit U nscrew the Phillips pan screws on step 3.

8 EN PREPARA TION FOR USE Installing the Batteries 1) Open the battery compartment cover . 2) Insert “R6/AA, 1.5V” penlight batteries into battery compartment in the direction as indicated by the polarity (+/–) markings. Batteries installed with incorrect polarity may damage the remote unit.
9 EN [COMPONENT CONNECTION] RCA component video co nnection offers better picture quality. 1) Connect the component video output jack (Y, Pb, Pr) of y our video device and the COMPON ENT vide o (Y, Pb, Pr) input jack of this unit. U se an R CA component video cable (not supplied).
10 EN [PC CONNECTION] If you connect this unit and your PC, you can use this unit as a computer mo nitor. 1) Connect the moni tor jack of your PC and the PC-IN (RGB) jack of this unit. Use a V GA cable with ferrite core (not supplied). 2) Connect the audio line out ja ck of your PC and the PC-IN (AUDIO) jack of this unit.
11 EN SETUP FOR USE Initial Setting You need to set the followings to use the unit appropriately for the first time you turn on the unit . 1) Pre s s [ Q (standby- on)] to turn on the unit. • “Initial Setup ” language m enu will appear . 2) Pre s s [ K / L ] repeatedly to select the menu language you want, then press [OK] .
12 EN OPERATIONS Watching a TV Programme To select a cha nnel Press [ / ] repeatedly to select your desired channel. or Press [the Numb er buttons] to enter a channel number then [OK] for quicker access. • If you want to select the channel 24 without pressing [OK] , press [2] first, then press [4] within 3 seconds.

15 EN Changing the TV Screen Display Mode You can select your favourite TV screen size. Press [ASP ECT] repeatedly to switch the TV screen display mode. For SD (Standard Definition) video signal “Auto” Selects the TV screen display mode automatically.
16 EN OTHER SETTINGS Picture Adjustment You can adjust the pi cture settings according to your personal preference. These settings are automatically stored afte r exiting the picture menu. 1) Pre s s [MENU] to display the menu. 2) Pre s s [ K / L ] to select “Picture ”, then press [OK] .

19 EN “Digital Audio Outpu t” You can set the audio output to “Auto” or “PCM”. 3) Pre s s [ K / L ] to select “Digital Audio Output”. 4) Pre s s [ 0 / 1 ] to select the setting (“Auto, PCM”) yo u want. “Auto Volume Control” You can set to keep a constant lo udn ess differential between the TV commercials and the programs.
