13 EN INITIAL SETUP This section will guide you through y our TV’ s initial set up which includes selecting a language f or your on-screen menu and A UT OSCAN, which automati- cally scans and memorizes view able channels . 1 After making all the necessar y connections, turn on your TV .
14 EN 3 F or TV channels, using [ K / L ] , select “Air”. F or CA TV channels, select “Cable”. • Press [ENTER] . Scanning and memorizing the channels auto- matically star ts. • When the scanning and memorizing are com- pleted, the lowest memorized channel in the broadcasting will be displa yed.

18 EN CHANNEL SELECTION Select channels by pressing [CH K / L ] f ound on remote control or on the TV’ s control panel, or by pressing [the Number buttons] fo und on the remote control. [CH K / L ] • Use [CH K / L ] to change the channel. • Same operation is also a vailab le with [CHANNEL K / L ] on the control panel of the main unit.
19 EN WA T CHING TV STILL MODE Y ou can freeze the image shown on the screen. 1 P ause the image. • When you press [STILL] , the image shown on the screen is paused. • The audio is not paused and keeps on reading out. • If the digital signal is gone or protected, the image will remain paused and the audio will be mut ed.
20 EN AC CESSING EXTERNAL DEVICES Use your remote control to access D VD recorders, home audio systems and other e xter nal de vices when they are connected to y our television. Use your remote control to select e xter nal com- ponent. • When you press [INPUT SELECT] or [CH L ] on the remote control, the input mode will be s witched as below .
21 EN WA T CHING TV CHANGING THE SCREEN DISPLA Y MODE Each of 4 displa y modes can be selected in either 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratios. 1 Press [SCREEN MODE] , to s witch the TV aspect ratio . 2 Press [SCREEN MODE] repeatedly until the normal screen displays.
22 EN SCREEN INFORMA TION Y ou can display the currently selected channel or other inf or mation such as the audio mode on the screen. In the analog mode, the current channel and the audio mode are displa yed. 1 Displa y the channel number and the audio mode.

24 EN PICTURE ADJUSTMENT Y ou can select from four def ault picture color set- tings. Y ou can also adjust br ightness, contr ast, color , tint, shar pness and color temperature set- tings. 1 Displa y the setup screen. • Press [SETUP] . The f ollowing setup screen appears.
