14 Chapter 1 Overview 1.1 TX 200 S2 This serve r has the followi ng features. ■ High Rel iability ● Advanced M emory Pr otection Functions The server supports the Chipkill function using PC2700-c ompliant memory (DDR 333 SDRAM) (256MB DIMM is not supported) and spare memory function to enable data recovery in the event of a memory error .

Refer to the manual included with the rack for procedures on opening other rack doors. ■ Opening the Front Door 1 T urn the rack key and pull the rack hand le up.

38 Chapter 1 Overview ■ Inserting the Flo ppy Disk Insert the floppy facing the label up into the floppy disk drive at the side wit h a shutter . It makes a clicking sound and, the floppy disk eject button pops out. ■ Ejecting the Fl oppy Disk Make sure that t he floppy disk acce ss LED is off.

When using CD-ROMs, note the following points to avoid failures: ■ Cautions for H andling CD-ROMs • Do not put labels, or apply ink or pencil, to both sides of the CD-ROM.

60 Chapter 3 OS Installation Using Ser verS tart 3 .1 Guided Mode In guided mode , follow the wizard to specify ha rdware configuratio n and the OS to be installed, save the inform ation necessary for installation in a configura tion file, and install the OS.

91 PRIMERGY TX200 S2 Use r’s Guide 3 OS Installation Using ServerS tart ● Remote Instal lation Using a PXE Server In remote installation using a PXE server , the network startup (PXE) function of the PXE server starts up the tar get server and performs insta llation in preconfigurat ion mode.
92 Chapter 3 OS Installation Using Ser verS tart 3.4.2 System Requirements for Remote Resource/PXE Servers Because remote insta llation is performed via a network, the environment must have at least one W indows server and a loca l area network. In addition, the following environ ment is required.
