2 Installation Ov erview Installation Basics:: When choosing a loc ation to mount the components, car e must be tak en not to interfer e with any of the vehicl es exis ting systems. Good installation pr actices should be observed when mounting components to av oid any vibration, movement or r attling after installation.
3 Installation Prior to installation, l ocate the ar ea where the XM Universal T uner Box is ins talled. Mak e sur e you have f ollowed the l ocation r equirements f or the XM Universal T uner prior to installing the Alpine Smart Digital Adapter . Step 1 Remove the Alpine c ar ster eo head unit fr om your dash boar d.
4 Step 4 T ake the end of the cabl e with the right angl e connector and plug it into the back of the Alpine head unit as shown in Fig 3. The other end of the cabl e coming fr om the white r ectangl e connector is a pass thr ough cabl e that can be used to c onnect other Alpine pr oducts to your Alpine head unit, i.
