7 BEFORE SETTING OVEN CONTROLS Types of oven racks Fig. 1 Your range may be equipped with one or more of the following oven rack types listed below: The flat oven rack (some models) may be used for most cooking needs and may be placed in most rack positions.
8 BEFORE SETTING OVEN CONTROLS Effortless™ Oven Rack system Some models are equipped with a special oven rack system that automatically partially extends the oven rack from the interior oven glides to assist in easier access to your food items. This feature works whenever the oven door is opened or closed.
9 BEFORE SETTING SURFACE CONTROLS About the ceramic glass cooktop The design pattern on the ceramic cooktop outlines the area and size of the surface element located just below the ceramic glass cooktop. Be sure to match the pan size with the diameter of the element outline on the cooktop and use only quality flat-bottomed cookware.
10 BEFORE SETTING SURFACE CONTROLS Do not place empty aluminum, glass or porcelain-enamel coated cookware on the ceramic cooktop! The melting point of some cookware types may be reached if left empty on the cooktop while heating.
11 SETTING SURFACE CONTROLS IMPORTANT Do not allow aluminum foil, or ANY material that can melt to make contact with the cooktop when hot. If these items melt on the cooktop they may damage the ceramic cooktop. • Radiant surface elements may appear to have cooled after they have been turned off.
12 Fig. 1 Fig. 2 Symbols on the backguard will help choose which portion of the dual radiant element to set. The symbol indicates a setting for the inner coil only. The symbol indicates a setting for both inner and outer coils. SETTING SURFACE CONTROLS You may switch from either single or dual element setting at any time while cooking.
13 Keep warm zone (some models) The purpose of the keep warm zone is to keep hot cooked foods at serving temperature. Use the keep warm feature to keep cooked foods hot such as; vegetables, gravies, casseroles, soups, stews, breads, pastries and oven-safe dinner plates.

15 OVEN CONTROL FUNCTIONS READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE OVEN. For satisfactory use of your oven, become familiar with the various keypad functions as described below. Oven control keypads (for models with probe feature only) broil keypad — press to select and set the variable broil feature.
16 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS The oven control is factory preset to display the oven temperature with Fahrenheit (°F) values. The control may be changed to display either Fahrenheit or Celsius temperatures. To change the temperature to display Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F): 1 .
17 NOTES Setting lock feature The oven control may be set to lock the oven door and most oven control keypad operations. To set the lock feature: Press and hold the keypad for 3 seconds. "Loc" will appear in display, the "door locked " indicator light will flash and the motor driven door lock will begin to lock the oven door.
18 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS The oven may be set to bake at any temperature from 170°F to 550°F (77°C to 287°C). The factory preset automatic bake temperature is 350°F (177°C).
19 When the set bake time runs out: 1 . "End" will appear in the display window and the oven will shut-off automatically. 2 . The control will beep 3 times every 60 seconds as a reminder until is pressed. To change the oven temperature or bake time after baking has started: 1 .

How quick bake works Quick bake uses a fan to circulate the oven's heat uniformly and continuously around the oven.

22 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS Easy probe (cont’d) To set easy probe: 1 . Prepare food and properly insert the probe sensor into the middle portion of the food (See Figs. 2 & 3). The probe should be inserted into the food before starting the cooking process and while the oven is still cool.

24 The interior oven light will automatically turn ON when the oven door is opened. Press the keypad to turn the interior oven light ON and OFF whenever the oven door is closed. The interior oven light is located at the upper left rear wall of the oven interior and is covered with a glass shield held by a wire holder.
25 SELF-CLEANING (For models with a visible bottom bake element ONLY) The lower element may be tilted up from the front of the element to make access to spills easier. Wait until the oven is completely cool and remove bottom oven rack before attempting to raise the element.
26 SELF-CLEANING Setting clean NOTE 1 . Remove all items from the oven interior, cooktop, storage (some models) or warmer drawer (some models), all oven racks from the oven and be sure the oven door is completely closed. 2 . Press the keypad. " --- " appears in the display.

29 Consistent and proper cleaning is essential to maintaining your ceramic glass cooktop. Damage to the ceramic glass cooktop may occur if you use an abrasive cleaning pad.
30 CARE & CLEANING Aluminum foil and the cooktop - Use of aluminum foil on a hot cooktop can damage the ceramic glass. Do not use thin aluminum cooking utensils or allow aluminum foil to touch the ceramic cooktop under ANY circumstances. Aluminum utensils and the cooktop - Care must be taken when aluminum pots or pans are used on the cooktop.

Pull the door hinge locks on both left and right door hinges down from the oven frame completely towards the oven door to unlock (See Fig. 2). A tool such as a small flat-blade screwdriver may be required.
