3 IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS • Remove all tape and packaging wrap before using the appliance. Destroy the carton and plastic bags after unpacking the appliance. Never allow children to play with packaging material. Do not remove the wiring label and other literature attached to the appliance.

Check the manufacturer’ s recommendations for cooktop use. • Do Not Use Decorative Surface Burner Covers. If an element is accidentally turned on, the decorative cover will become hot and possibly melt.

7 Í NOTE Radiant elements have a limiter that allows the element to cycle ON and OFF , even at the HI setting. This helps to prevent damage to the ceramic smooth top . Cycling at the HI setting is normal and can occur if the cookware is too small for the r adiant element or if the cookware bottom is not fl at.
8 Í NOTE Due to the high intensity of heat gener ated by the surface elements, the glass surface will turn green when the element will be turned off . This phenomenon is normal and the glass will come back to its original white color after it has completely cooled down.
9 SETTING SURFACE CONTROLS Í NOTE See Recommended Set ting for Surf ace Element table on page 8. Single radiant surface elements The cooktop has 2 SINGLE radiant surf ace elements: the left rear position (Figure 1) and the right rear position (Figure 1).

11 Multiple Oven Racks Single Oven Rack BEFORE SETTING OVEN CONTROLS CAUTION Some models are equipped with a blower which runs in baking and self-cleaning mode to keep all internal components at a cool temperature. The blower may keep running even if the oven has been turned off, until the components have cooled down.
12 Control pad features READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE OVEN. For satisf actory use of your oven, become familiar with the v arious features and functions of the o ven as described below . Detailed instructions for each feature and function follow later in this Use & Care Guide.
13 Í NOTE The time of day • must fi rst be set in order to oper ate the oven. T o turn the • time of day display OFF or ON in the display press CLOCK and hold for 15 seconds (the control will beep once) and then release. This feature does not remove the set time of day from the memory of the control.
14 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS TO SET CONTROL FOR CONTINUOUS BAKE OR 12 HOUR ENERGY SAVING The oven control has a built -in 12 Hour Energy Saving feature that will shut off the ov en if the control is left on for more than 11 hours and 59 minutes. The oven can be programmed to ov erride this feature for continuous baking.
15 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS SETTING BAKE The BAKE pad controls normal baking. The oven can be programmed to bak e at any temperature from 170°F to 550°F . Baking Tips: • Preheat your o ven before using the bake mode. • Use only one rack and center the pans as much as possible on rack 2 or 3.
16 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS Í NOTE Baking time can be set for any amount of time between 1 minute to 11 hours 59 minutes. Í NOTE If it is desired to have the ov en shut off automatically after a set time; enter a BAKE TIME at this step.
17 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS SETTING BROIL This mode is best for meats, fi sh and poultry up to 1” thick. Broiling is a method of cooking tender cuts of meat by direct heat under the broil element of the oven. The high heat cooks quickly and gives a rich, brown outer appearance.
18 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS Í NOTE Oven temperature adjustments made will not change the Self -Clean feature temper ature. OVEN LIGHT The oven is equipped with 2 ov en lights.
19 What to Expect during Cleaning While the oven is in oper ation, the oven heats to temperatures much higher than those used in normal cooking. Sounds of metal expansion and contraction are normal. Odor is also normal as the food soil is being removed.
20 Í NOTE If you do not want to start a Delayed Self -Clean Cycle, skips steps 2 & 3. Í NOTE When the oven is cool, wipe awa y any residue or powdered ash with a damp cloth or paper towel. CAUTION T o avoid possible burns use care when opening the oven door after the Self -Cleaning cycle.
21 Cleaning various parts of your appliance Before cleaning any part of the appliance, be sure all controls are turned of f and the appliance is COOL. REMOVE SPILLOVERS AND HEA VY SOILING AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. REGUL AR CLEANING WILL REDUCE THE NUMBER OF MAJOR CLEANING LA TER.
22 CARE & CLEANING Ceramic glass cooktop cleaning & maintenance Consistent and proper cleaning is essential to maintaining your Ceramic glass cooktop. Prior to using your cooktop for the fi rst time, apply the recommended CERAMA BRYTE® Cleaning Creme to the ceramic surf ace.
23 CARE & CLEANING • Aluminum foil Use of aluminum foil will damage the cooktop. Do not use under any circumstances. • Aluminum utensils Since the melting point of aluminum is much lower than that of other metals, care must be taken when aluminum pots or pans are used.

25 BEFORE YOU CALL (Solutions to Common Problems) Oven baking For best cooking results, heat the o ven before baking cookies, breads, cakes, pies or pastries, etc.
26 BEFORE YOU CALL (Solutions to Common Problems) OCCURRENCE POSSIBLE CAUSE/SOLUTION Range is not level. Poor installation. Place o ven rack in center of o ven. Place a level on the ov en rack. Adjust leveling legs at base of range until the r ack is level.
27 OCCURRENCE POSSIBLE CAUSE/SOLUTION Scratches or abrasions on cooktop surface. Coarse particles such as salt or sand between cooktop and utensils can cause scratches. Be sure cooktop surface and bottoms of utensils are clean bef ore usage. Small scratches do not affect cooking and will become less visible with time.
