15 COOLING ONL Y ROOM AIR CONDIT IONERS : TROUBLESHOOT ING TIPS Problem Possible Cause Action Compressor does not run Low voltage Check voltage at compressor . 1 15V & 230V units will operate at 10% voltage variance T -stat not set cold enough or inoperative Set t-stat to coldest position.
16 Problem Possible Cause Action Unit does not run Fuse blown or circuit tripped Replace fuse, reset breaker . If repeats, check fuse or breaker size. Check for shorts in unit wiring & components .
