5 F AN MOTOR (Figure 4) A 230 volt single phase permanent spl it capacitor motor is used to dr ive the evaporator blower and c ondens er fan. A running capacitor is wired a cross the star t and run terminals of the motor . The motor is t otally enclosed and is prot ected with a line voltage ov erload loc ated int ernally of the motor .

10 NOTE: All inoperative compressors returned to Friedrich must have all lines properly plugged with the plugs from the replacement compressor . REFRIGERANT CHARGE 1 . The refrigerant charge is e xtremely c ritic al. Measure the charge carefully an d as e xactly as possible t o the namepl ate ch arge.
11 TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE TO CORRECT UNI T DOES N OT RUN. Power disconnected. Check power sourc e. System switch in “O f f ” position. Se t switch co rrec tly . Branch c ircuit fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped. Replace fuse, reset break er .
