7 920-087-04 Insta lla tion I nstr ucti ons PXDR 1 0 Drain Kit Internal Drain ( optional for new const ruction ) NOTE: If installing an internal drain, you MUST install a drain kit on the wall sleeve be fore the wall sleev e is installed. 1 . Refer to Figure 3 below and locate the drain within the " Pr imar y" area for be st drainage.
8 920-087-04 External Drain (f o r n e w c o n s t r u c t i o n o r u n i t r e p l a c e m e n t) When using an exter nal drain system, the condensate is removed th rough either of t wo drain holes on the bac k of the wall sleev e . Select the drain hole whic h best meets your drainage situation and install the drain kit.

If the sleeve projects more than 8 " in to the room, a sub base or other means of suppor t M UST be used .
10 920-087-04 3 . Drill t wo 3/ 1 6 " holes through each side of the sleeve approximately 4 " from top and 4" from b ottom of sleev e. Screw four #1 0 x 1" screws (included) or appropriate fasteners for your installation, through the hole s in the sides of the wall sleeve .

12 920-087-04 Plastic handles Plastic grommets 1 . Remove the center suppor t and weatherboard if st ill in stalled in the sleeve . 2. Inser t six plastic grommets into the gr ille openings from t he outside of the gr ille as shown in Figure 9.

If a remote t hermost at is to be installed, pr oceed to page 18, Step 1. For a 265 V unit , proceed to A ppendix A , Step 1.

19 920-087-04 The vent control lev er is loc ated behind the front cover on the lef t side of the unit. The unit is shipped in the closed p osition with a lock ing screw in place. The screw must be removed to operate the lev er . W hen the lever is back, ( OPEN) , outside air is m i x e d with ind oor a ir .
20 920-087-04 I. Star t - up Checklist Inspect all components and accessories for damage before and after installation. Check installation for compliance with all national and local codes and ordinances. Read and follow all manufacturer's installation instructions.
21 920-087-04 Appendi x A : Electr ica l W irin g for 265 V olt Models 1 . Remove the four control box retaining screws (A ) and open the control box. 2. Pull the c hassis power lead wires (B ) (located on the bot tom- right side of the c ontrol box ) through the plastic bushing so they are located inside the c ontrol bo x.
22 920-087-04 J. Routine Maintenance 1 . Clean the unit air intake fi lter at least ev er y 30 0 to 350 hour s of operation. Clean the fi lters with a mild detergent in warm water and allow to dr y thoroughly before reinstalling.
