Page 3 Friedrich Electronic Air Cleaner The F riedr ich Electronic Air Cleaner is a self-contained console model consisting of a high v oltage DC power supply , electronic cell, 3 speed f an, pre-filter and activated carbon post-filter in a rugged plastic cabinet.

Page 5 How electronic air cleaners work Electronic air cleaners are an extremely efficient, cost eff ective method of removing indoor air contaminants . Unlike standard media that merely block relativ ely large particles, electronic air cleaners attract and hold par ticles so small that an electron microscope is needed to see them.
Page 6 Cleaning (Cont.) CLEANING THE ELECTR ONIC CELL The simplest method of cleaning the electronic cell is to use an automatic dishwasher . The dishwasher provides the correct cycle of wash, rinse and dr y . W ater temperatures nor mally f ound in dishwashers 150 ° F to 170 ° F will not har m the cell.

If broken wires are observed, return unit to Authorized W arranty Station f or wire replacement. If bent collector plates are obser v ed, carefully straighten with a scre wdriv er or other flat object.
