Befor e getting started Identify the loc ations wher e you will mount the indoor modul e and place the outdoor modul e. Keep in mind, ther e is 25’ of connection line f or connecting indoor and outdoor pieces, so l ocat e them accor dingly . Y ou cannot add additional l ength if they ar e too far apart.
STEP 1 - Determine how y ou will connect the indoor and outdoor modul es. Ther e ar e two options availabl e: OPTION 1 is to drill a 3” hol e thr ough the wall to pass the connecting line thr ough. OPTION 2 is to use the F riedrich SimpleSill™ kit to pas s the connecting pipe thr ough the window .
Level STEP 2 – Hang wall mount bracket Using the paper template as a guide, l ocate two studs behind scr ew hole l ocations in the template. It is pr eferabl e to mount the hanging plate on s tuds. If two studs ar e not available, utilize anchor s appr opriate for the wall type with a combined weight c apacity of at l east 60 lbs.
STEP 4 - Line set installation The Br eeze connecting line set contains c opper tubing that may kink if bent or formed incorr ectly or r epeatedl y . T o avoid damaging your Br eeze air conditioning sys tem foll ow the 3 rules bel ow thr oughout installation: 1) DO NOT unc oil and rec oil the connecting line set mor e than two times.
If you have e xces s connecting line, r oll the line into a coil appr oximatel y 2 feet wide, secur e with the provided wir e ties and stor e between the outdoor module and the wall. DO NOT cut or kink the c onnecting line! STEP 8 – Connect the el ectrical connector fr om the connecting line to outdoor modul e 1.
Routine Maintenanc e Cl eaning the unit: The outer co ver of the Br eeze indoor module c an be cleaned with a damp cloth. Cl eaning the outdoor module c an be done by rinsing the modul e with low pr essur e water . Refer t o friedrich.com f or appr oved coil cl eaning agents.
Remote Contr ol Operation 1. ST ART / STOP T urns the Breeze unit on or off . ▼ / ▲ Arr ow Pr ess to r aise or low er the temperatur e setting. T emperatur e setting range is between 61�F – 86�F . 2. F AN/AUTO Adjusts the f an speed or sets fan to ‘ A UTO ’ operation.
