4 Installation and S etup for B roadband2Go (W indows) This section wi ll guide you th rough the ins tallation and setup p rocess for the Broadband2Go software on W indow s 7, Vista and XP. Note: If you have in serted the de vice properly , Windows wi ll inform you that it has found new hardware.
5 9. The Broadband2Go Setup W izard w ill begin. Click Next to continue..
6 10. You are now ready to select the loca tion on your computer w here the Broadband2Go connection mana g er will be installed. It is recommende d that you do not modify the default destination.
7 11. Confirm you r software i nstallation by cli cking Next . During this s tep, the compone nts of the Broadband2Go connection mana g er are bei ng installed onto you r compute r.
8 12. I nstallation stat us will be indicated vi a the progress bar. 13. Installation is co m plete, select Close to leave the setup program..
9 13. Device drivers will be instal led on your PC. Pleas e wait a few moments for this task to complete. 14. I nstallation of the Broadb and2Go connection manager is now complete.
10 4. Double click the B roadband2Go se t up packa ge on M ac to begin install ation. 5. The Mac setup p rocess w ill ini tiate the installation, selec t Continue . 6. The Read M e window will show information abou t the softw are being ins talled, please review and select Continue .
11 7. Please select the ins t all destinati on and type o f install, and then select Install . 8. You Mac compute r will require a restart a fter install at ion is complete.
12 9. The installation pro cess begins and will display a progress bar on the setu p process..
13 10. Aft er installation is complete, please select Restart to compl ete the se tup process. 11. Aft er your M ac r estarts, the Broadb and2Go conn ection mana ger will open and complete the driv er install process .
14 12. You will be prompted to validate the Net w ork Preferences (M ac O S 10.5, 10 .6)..

17 Broadband2Go w ill then open the Broadband Net works wind ow as shown bel ow for activation. Follow the inst ructions b elow to activ ate your Broadba nd2Go device i f it has not already been activated.
18 7. From the main menu, select Options > Program Modem . 8. Enter your M DN/ Account # and MSID into the matching fields on the Program Modem wi ndow and select OK . Tip: Do not remov e your device from your compute r whil e the device is being a ctivated.
19 Using the Broadband2 Go Conne ction Manager The Broadband2 Go connection mana g er main s creen is show n below . The connection manager is whe re you manage y our 3G/4G connectio ns. The Broadband Networks wi ndow display s all of the availabl e network (3G/4G) conn ections.
20 The Status Bar Information re garding you r current netw ork connection can be seen in the Status Bar at the bottom of t he Broadban d2Go inter face. Status in formation w ill be displayed at the bottom durin g the connection p rocess as w ell as connected/disconnected states.
21 Using Virgin Mobile Broadband2Go There are several menus w ithin the connection m anager. The Session M enu The Tools M enu The Options M enu The Help M enu Additional Features The Session Menu The Session M enu allows you to connect to networ ks, di sconnect from ne tworks, enable Airplane M ode and exit the application.

29 ● Selecting Minimize A pplication into Tray will send the connec tion manager to the Windows task ba r. To restore the application, click on the Broadband2Go tray icon, and select Open. 31 The Program Mod em window allows you to program the phone number (M DN) and M SID into the USB Mod em. You wil l obtain this informa tion from the Vi rgin Mob ile website w hen you sign up for or transfer service.
