The shoul der belt shoul d be positioned t o cross the middl e of the shoulder and the c enter of the che st.
How t o Use the Automatic Locking Mode E142591 1. Buckle the c ombina tion lap and shoulder bel t. 2. Gra sp the shoul der portion and pull downw ard until the entir e belt is pull ed out. Allo w the bel t to re trac t. As the bel t retr act s, you will he ar a clicking sound.
S AFETY BEL T W ARNING LAMP AND INDIC A TOR CHIME This l amp illumina te s and an audibl e warning will sound if the driver's sa f ety bel t has not been fa st ened when the vehicl e's ignition is turned on. Conditions of oper ation Then... If.

3. For the se ating position being dis abled , buckle then unbuck le the sa f ety bel t three times a t a moder at e speed, ending in the unbuckle d sta te. Aft er St ep 3, the sa fe ty belt w arning light will turn on. 4. Whil e the saf ety bel t warning light is on, buckl e and then unbuckle the sa fet y belt.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERA TION W ARNINGS Airbags do not infl at e sl owl y or gentl y , and the risk of injury from a deplo ying airbag is the gr ea test cl ose to the trim c ov ering the airbag modul e.

The fr ont passeng er sensing sy stem is designed t o enable (ma y infla te) the fr ont passeng er's front al airbag anytime the sys tem senses tha t a person of adul t size is sitting properl y in the front passeng er sea t.

5. Reinstall the housing and c ov er . Car Finder E138623 Pr ess the button t wice within three se conds. T he horn will sound and the turn signals will fla sh. It is r ecommended tha t this method be used t o loc at e your v ehicle, ra ther than using the panic alarm.

LOCKING AND UNLOCKING Y ou can use the pow er door lock c ontrol or the remot e contr ol to l ock and unlock the vehicl e. Po wer Door Locks The po wer door l ock contr ol is on the driver and front pa ssenger door panel s. E138628 Unlock A Lock B Door Lock Indicator An LED on each door windo w trim will light when you l ock the door .
Mislock If any door or the lu ggag e compartment is open, or if the hood is open on vehicl es with an anti-theft alarm or r emote st art, the horn will sound twic e and the lamps will not fla sh. Y ou can enabl e or disable this fe atur e in the informa tion displa y .
When you el ectronicall y l ock your v ehicle using the driver or pa ssenger po wer door lock c ontrol ( with any door open, vehicl e in park and ignition off), the v ehicle will sear ch for an int elligent ac cess k ey in the passeng er compartment a ft er you cl ose the la st door .
The ill uminat ed entry sy stem will turn off the lights if: • the ignition is on, • you pr ess the remot e contr ol lock butt on, or • aft er 25 sec onds of illumina tion. The lights will not turn off if: • you turn them on with the l amp contr ol, or • any door is open.

Anti-Scan Featur e The k eypad will g o into an anti-sc an mode if you ent er the wrong c ode seven time s (35 consec utive butt on presse s). This mode disabl es the ke ypad for one minut e and the ke ypad lamp will fl a sh.

When cl osing the pow er windows, you shoul d verify the y are fre e of obstructions and mak e sure tha t childr en and pets ar e not in the pro ximity of the window openings.
