Battery Charging Pb • Plug the charger connector into the batter y . • Plug the charger into a standard 120 volt w all outlet . Note: If power flo w to the wall outlet is controlled b y a s witch, make sure the s witch is “ON”. • Before first-time use , charge the battery for at least 18 hours.
• Open the phone’ s battery compar tment door and remov e the pack et of #3 x 3 / 8 " scre ws. • Inser t three “AAA” (LR03) alkaline batteries as indicated in the batter y compar tment.
5 6 7 11 Steering Column Hole Bottom View • Wipe the steer ing column with a paper tow el to remov e any e xcess lubr icant. • T ur n the vehicle body on its side . • Inser t the straight end of the steer ing column up through the hole in the v ehicle body wall and out through the hole in the dash.
• Fit the wide notch in the side of a headlight lens under the wide tab on a lens guard. • Press fir mly on the inside of the headlight lens to snap it into the lens guard. • Repeat this procedure to assemble the other headlight lens to the remaining lens guard.
Assembl y 15 • T ur n the seat upside down. • Inser t the fastener end of a shor t seat belt strap through the slot near the outer edge of the seat.
19 Spor t Bar Canop y Canop y Slee ves Canop y Slee ves • P osition the spor t bar on its side so that the spor t bar ends cur ve a wa y from you. • P osition the canop y opposite the spor t bar with the netting f acing aw a y from you. • Slide the four canop y sleev es onto the spor t bar .
Spor t Bar Light Rack - F ront Half Light Rack - Back Half T abs • P osition the spor t bar upright, as shown. • Fit and hold the front and back halv es of the light rac k against the spor t bar .
27 26 T aillight Housing T aillight Lens • Using safety scissors , remov e the taillight lenses and the taillight housings from the plastic connectors. Dispose of the plastic connectors. • F ace the rear of the v ehicle. • Fit a taillight lens inside a taillight housing.
Label Decoration 17 G Proper label application will help to keep the labels looking their best! When applying labels, k eep the f ollowing guidelines in mind: • W ash your hands bef ore applying the labels. • Before applying the labels , wipe the surf ace of the vehicle with a clean, dry cloth to remov e any dust or oils .
18 Label Decoration • After applying the labels as shown in illustrations 1, 2, 3 and 4, apply labels as shown in illustr ations 5, 6 and 7 to add sparkle to your v ehicle.
Pb Battery Installation H Important Note: Use only a P ower Wheels ® 12 volt battery . Use of any other battery will damage your v ehicle. Mak e sure that you charge the battery f or at least 18 hours using the enclosed P ower Wheels ® 12 volt charger bef ore operating y our vehicle f or the first time.
Battery Care and Disposal Battery Care and Disposal I If a battery leak develops, av oid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged batter y in a plastic bag. See inf or mation below f or proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or ey es, flush with cool water f or at least 15 minutes and call a physician.

The v ehicle goes f orward at a maximum of 2 1 / 2 mph . • Help your child practice steering to learn how f ar and how quickly to turn the steering wheel when dr iving f orward in lo w speed.

A new batter y should have been charged for at least 18 hours before using the vehicle for the first time. After first-time use, recharge the battery for at least 14 hours after each use.
