4 Ba t ter y Inst alla tion Base • Locate the batter y compartment door under the base. • Loosen the screw in the batter y compartment door and remove the door . • Insert four “AA” (LR6) alkaline batteries. • Replace the batter y compartment door and tighten the screw .
Set-Up Ba t ter y Safety Informa tion • T urn the base over . • Fit the base feet into the grooves on the base. Hint: Each foot is designed to fi t one way .
Connecting to y our TV IMPORT ANT! Y our TV , VCR or DVD player must have audio and video input jacks. Input jacks may be on the back of your TV , VCR or DVD player . • Place the base in front of your TV . The base should be three feet away from the TV .
7 Customise Y our Char acter • Y ou can customise your character using the grip controller (without any of the sports attachments). • Press a coloured button on the controller to choose a character to customise. • Press the yellow and blue buttons on the controller to change the colour of the character’ s clothes.
Power Ser ve • Swing the racquet. T r y to hit as many tennis balls as you can! Then, count how many you hit! • Warm-up with the ball machine, and then move to the challenge round with another player! 8 T ennis Ma t ch • Use the arrow keys on the controller to choose a circle card on TV screen.
9 T ennis A d venture • Use the arrow keys on the controller to move through the jungle. • Swing the racquet to clear the way . Be careful of rolling boulders! Swing the racquet to keep them from rolling over you. • Find bananas and collect them along the way .
10 Dunk T ank • Listen to and look at the number on the target for the ball you need to swing at. • When the correct ball pops out of the chute, swing the bat to hit the ball. • Hit the target and dunk the monkey in the tank! T-Ball Level 1 • Count the objects at the top of the TV screen.
11 Sp ace Spelling • Look at the word on the lower left of the TV screen. • Use the arrow keys on the controller to move your character left or right on the TV screen. • Swing the bat to hit baseballs at the letters to spell the word. • Don’t hit the wrong object or you will lose a life.
• Press a coloured button on the controller to go to the golf menu. Press a coloured button again to choose a game from the golf menu: Mini Golf, Driving Range or Pingolf. Golf • Snap the golf club onto the end of the grip controller . • The Mini Golf activity automatically appears on the screen and the golf ball lights on the base.
Level 2 • Look at the letter on the bottom of the TV screen. • Use the arrow keys on the controller to choose the matching upper case letter (if the letter on the bottom of the screen is lower case) or the matching lower case letter (if the letter on the bottom of the screen is upper case).
14 • Swing the golf club to release your ball. • Swing the golf club each time you need to move the levers and keep the ball in play . • If you lose a ball, swing the golf club to release the next one. Y ou have fi ve balls in each game! • T ry to earn all the letters in the alphabet by knocking down the castle guards and treasure chests.
