Care should be taken in unpac king and assembly of the v ehicle. Children should not handle par ts, including the batter y , or help in assembly of the v ehicle.
9 • Fit the cowling assemb ly into the front end of the frame. Hint: Squeeze the co wling assembly slightly (on each side) to fit it inside the frame. •I nser t two #8 x 3 / 4 " screws into the front holes in the cowling. Tighten the screws .
10 • Wipe the steering column with a paper towel to remov e any e xcess lubr icant. • Remov e and discard the tape that is holding the .375" washer on the steering column.
• While holding the rear bumper in place , tur n the frame on its side. •I nser t two 1 / 4 " - 20 x 3" screw through the bottom of the frame and out through the top of the rear b umper . •F rom the top side of the frame , attach a 1 / 4 " washer and 1 / 4 " - 20 lock n ut to each screw .
12 Hint: There is a left and right str ut. Locate the L on the left strut and an R on the r ight strut. •P osition the left strut so that the L is f acing inward. • At an angle, fit the left strut between the retainers on the wing. Hint: There is a left and right flap.
13 • Fit the seat assembly into the fr ame. • Inser t six #8 x 3 / 4 " screws through the seat and into the frame, as sho wn. Tighten the screws. 19 20 Seat Assembly Assembly • Slide a 3 / 16 " washer onto two #8 x 3 / 4 " scre ws.
14 Stopwatch Batter y Replacement • Slide the stopwatch into the groo ve in the steering wheel. Stopwatch Hint: The stopwatch comes with an alkaline b utton cell batter y . Use the following instructions only to replace the b utton cell battery . • Loosen the screws in the stopw atch batter y compar tment door .
15 Proper label application will help to keep the labels looking their best! When applying labels, keep the f ollowing guidelines in mind: •W ash y our hands bef ore applying the labels. • Bef ore applying the labels, wipe the surf ace of the vehicle with a clean, dry cloth to remove an y dust or oils.

IMPORT ANT! Use only a P ower Wheels ® 12 v olt batter y . Use of any other battery will damage your v ehicle. Make sure that you charge the battery for at least 18 hours using the enclosed P ower Wheels ® 12 volt charger bef ore operating y our vehicle f or the first time.
If a battery leak develops, av oid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged batter y in a plastic bag. Please ref er to the inf or mation on this page f or proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or eyes, flush with cool w ater f or at least 15 minutes and call a ph ysician.
