8 Battery Charging E Important Notes •Y our new battery must be c harged for at least 18 hours bef ore you use it in y our vehicle f or the first time. •W e recommend that you start charging your batter y bef ore beginning assembly of y our new v ehicle.
9 Battery Charging Pb • Plug the charger connector into the batter y . • Plug the charger into a standard 120 volt w all outlet . Note: If power flo w to the wall outlet is controlled b y a s witch, make sure the s witch is “ON”. • Bef ore first-time use, charge the batter y for at least 18 hours.
10 Assembl y F Children can be har med b y small par ts, shar p edges and shar p points in the v ehicle’ s unassemb led state, or b y electrical items. Care should be tak en in unpacking and assemb ly of the v ehicle. Children should not handle par ts, including the batter y , or help in assembly of the v ehicle.
11 Assembl y • Fit pegs on the rear view mirror into the holes in the dash. • Inser t two #8 x 3 / 4 " screws through the bottom of the dash and tighten. Dash Rear View Mirror P egs T op Vie w • Fit the tab on the vase into the g roov e in the dash.
12 Assembl y Sound Bo x Cov er Lower Ta b Upper Ta b Upper Slot Lower Slot •F irst, fit the lower tab on the sound bo x cover into the lower slot in the dash .
13 Assembl y • Apply the labels to dash, as shown. 9 Dash • Fit the dash onto the top , front end of the vehicle . • Inser t four #8 x 3 / 4 " scre ws into the dash and tighten. 10 Slots Slots Windshield • Fit the eight tabs on the windshield into the eight slots in the top , front end of the vehicle .

15 Assembl y Steering Column • Fit the straight end of the steering column through the hole in the lower steering linkage and the opening in the v ehicle floor . 17 End of Steering Column Upper Steering Linkage • Fit the end of the steering column through the hole in the upper steering linkage.
16 Assembl y Cap Nut End of Steering Column • Fit a cap nut on the end of the steering column. •T ap the cap nut with a hammer to secure it on the end of the steering column. Bottom View •T ur n the vehicle upright. • Fit the steering wheel onto the end of the steer ing column.
17 Assembl y Slots Slots Roll Bar T abs V ase Plug Flower • Fit the six tabs on the roll bar into the slots in the top , rear edge of the vehicle . • Push near each tab in until the roll bar “snaps” into place .
18 Label Decoration G Proper label application will help to keep the labels looking their best! When applying labels, keep the following guidelines in mind: •W ash y our hands before applying the labels . • Bef ore applying the labels, wipe the surf ace of the vehicle with a clean, dry cloth to remov e any dust or oils.

20 IMPORT ANT! Use only P ower Wheels ® 12 volt battery . Use of any other battery will damage your v ehicle. Make sure that you charge the battery for at least 18 hours using the enclosed P ow er Wheels ® 12 volt charger bef ore operating your vehic le for the fir st time.
21 If a battery leak develops, av oid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged batter y in a plastic bag. See inf or mation below f or proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or eyes, flush with cool water f or at least 15 minutes and call a ph ysician.

23 Ho w to Operate Y our V ehic le L IMPORT ANT! As assembled, your vehic le is ready to roll in lo w speed (2 1 / 2 mph, maximum). When y our child is ready to drive the vehic le in high speed (5 mph, maxim um), follow the instructions on this page to disconnect the high speed lock-out.

25 Problem Possible Cause Solution V ehicle does not run Undercharged battery Charge the battery . A new batter y should have been charged for at least 18 hours bef ore using the v ehicle for the first time. After first-time use , recharge the batter y f or at least 14 hours after each use.

Make sure the motor suddenly stopped harness connector is tightly plugged into the batter y , and that there are no loose wires around the motors.
