Children can be har med b y small par ts, shar p edges and shar p points in the vehicle’ s unassembled state , or b y electrical items. Care should be taken in unpac king and assembly of the v ehicle. Children should not handle par ts, including the batter y , or help in assembly of the v ehicle.
Handgrip Handgrip Handlebar • P osition the handlebar upright. • Fit a handgrip onto each end of the handlebar . Hint: If the handgrips are difficult to slide onto the handle- bar , moisten the handg rips with warm water before fitting them onto the handlebar .
Steering Column Steering Column Bushing V ehicle Body Rectangular Opening • P osition the v ehicle body upright. • Inser t the cur ved end of the steering column through the rectangular opening in the v ehicle body . • Rotate the steering column bushing 1 / 4 turn and fit it into the rectangular opening in the v ehicle body .
• Inser t the wire connector on the main wire har ness through the large opening in the center of the vehicle body . • Plug the main wire harness connector and the handlebar wire harness connector together . • Inser t three # 8 x 3 / 4 " screws through the batter y com- par tment in the vehicle body and into the f ootrest. F ootrest V ehicle Body Pe g F ootrest • Fit the f ootrest to the peg on the underside of the vehicle body .
® ® 13 Proper label application will help to keep the labels looking their best! When applying labels, keep the fol- lowing guidelines in mind: • W ash y our hands bef ore applying the labels. • Bef ore applying the labels, wipe the surf ace of the v ehicle with a clean, dry cloth to remov e any dust or oils .
• Using a Phillips screwdriv er , loosen the scre ws in the batter y clamp. Remov e the battery clamp from the vehicle body . • Place the P o wer Wheels ® 6 V olt (4.0 Amp/Hr .) battery upright in the batter y compar tment. Make sure the bat- ter y connector extends to ward the rear of the v ehicle .
If a battery leak develops, av oid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged batter y in a plastic bag. See inf or mation below f or proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or ey es, flush with cool water f or at least 15 minutes and call a ph ysician.

Y our v ehicle can be used either as a motorized v ehicle or as a free-wheeling f oot-to-floor v ehicle. It has been pre-assembled at the f actory for free-wheeling fun and con v er ts easily for use as a motorized vehicle simply b y s witching the selector le v er located under the seat.
