Battery Charging E W ARNING • The batter ies must be handled by adults only . The batter ies are heavy and contain sulfuric acid (electrolyte). Dropping the batter ies could result in serious injur y . • Nev er allo w children to charge the batteries.
® • Plug the charger into a standard 120 v olt wall outlet. Note: If pow er flow to the w all outlet is controlled by a s witch, make sure the s witch is “ON”. • Bef ore first-time use, charge the batteries f or at least 18 hours. Ne v er charge the batteries longer than 30 hours.
4 Dash Knob Plate K e y Assembly • Snap the dash knobs into the knob plate. (See inset.) Note: Gently squeeze the tabs on the knobs together bef ore inser ting the knobs into the knob plate. • P osition the bottom edge of the knob plate in the opening in the dash.
8 Steering Wheel Cap Nut Steering Column “UP” Ta b • T urn the vehicle body upright. • P osition the steer ing wheel so that the spokes f orm a “Y” as shown. The tab on the steer ing wheel stem should f ace up . • Fit the steering wheel onto the steer ing column.
12 • Fit the lens tabs on the back of a lens assemb ly into the headlight slots in the grille. • Press firmly to snap the lens assembly into the grille. • Repeat this procedure to snap the other lens assemb ly into the grille. Grille Ta b Slot 11 Brush Guard Bumper • Fit and hold the brush guard against the front bumper .
• Inser t a hood latch into one of the holes in the vehicle body , near the hood area. • T wist the base of the hood latch 1 / 4 tur n to secure it in the v ehicle body . • Repeat this procedure on the other side of the hood area to attach the other hood latch to the v ehicle body .
• Fit the back half of the windshield fr ame onto the front half of the windshield frame . Make sure the slots at the bottom of the two windshield frame halv es are aligned. • Inser t ten #8 x 1 1 / 4 " screws into the bac k half of the windshield frame .
Hood T abs Slot Slot • P osition the hood over the front of the v ehicle body . • Inser t the tabs on the hood into the slots in the vehicle body . Lights and Siren Cord Microphone Cord • Align the arrow on the lights and siren cord connector with the arrow on the microphone cord connector .
• Inser t each end of the long seat belt strap through a slot in the center of the seat. Make sure the f asteners f ace the outer edge of the seat. • Pull each side of the long seat belt strap e venly through the slots. Mak e sure to pull each T -loop through a slot.
31 29 30 • Extend the canop y completely around the spor t bar . Spor t Bar Canop y • Using saf ety scissors, remo ve the sport bar brack ets from the plastic connector . Dispose of the plastic connector . • P osition the spor t bar upright. • Fit a spor t bar suppor t through a tunnel in a rear corner of the canop y .
KC TM Light Cov ers 34 • Fit the spor t bar and spor t bar support legs into the holes in the v ehicle body . • Push down firmly on a spor t bar side leg while pulling up on the side f ender to fit the spor t bar into the v ehicle body . • Repeat this procedure on the other side of the v ehicle body .
21 38 Assembl y 39 T aillight Lens T aillight Housing Rear Bumper Light Plate 37 • Lift the rear of the v ehicle. • Align the holes in the bumper tabs with the scre w pegs on the underside of the v ehicle body . • Inser t two #8 x 1" screws through the b umper tabs and into the v ehicle body .
