Battery Charging E 8 About Thermal Fuses Y our P ower Wheels ® 12 volt battery is equipped with a built-in thermal fuse. The ther mal fuse is a self-resetting saf ety de vice which automatically “trips” and shuts do wn operation of the v ehicle if the v ehicle is ov erloaded or the driving conditions too sev ere.
Children can be har med by small par ts, shar p edges and shar p points in the v ehicle’ s unassembled state , or by electrical items. Care should be tak en in unpacking and assembly of the v ehicle. Children should not handle par ts, including the batter y , or help in assembly of the v ehicle .
10 Assembl y 5 • Snap the knobs into the knob plate . Note: Gently squeeze the tabs on the knobs together bef ore inser ting the knobs into the knob plate. Knob Plate Knobs Dash Knob Plate Po c k e t K e y Assembly Microphone Cord • Bend the end of the microphone cord so that it f orms a “T” .
8 9 • Insert the end of the steer ing column through the hole in the steering rod. • Fit a cap n ut onto the end of the steering column. • While supporting the steer ing column, tap the cap nut with a hammer to secure it on the steering column.
Assembl y 12 10 Steering Wheel • Fit the steering wheel cap into the center of the steering wheel with the screw holes aligned. • Insert two #8 x 1" screws as sho wn. • Tighten the scre ws with a Phillips scre wdriver . Do not ov er-tighten.
16 17 • Fit the scre w pegs on the windshield brac k ets into the holes in the top surf ace of the dash. Press fir mly to fit the lip on each windshield brac ket into the slot in the top of the dash. • Insert two #8 x 1" screws into each windshield brac k et.
Assembl y 14 18 Slots Slots Windshield F rame - F ront Half • Fit the bac k half of the windshield frame onto the front half of the windshield frame. Make sure the slots at the bottom of the two windshield frame halv es are aligned. • Insert ten #8 x 1 1 / 4 " scre ws into the back half of the windshield frame.
23 • Using saf ety scissors, remov e the spor t bar brac kets from the plastic connector . Dispose of the plastic connector . • P osition the spor t bar upright. • P osition a spor t bar brac k et onto one of the spor t bar side legs, as sho wn.
Spor t Bar KC TM Light Rack - F ront Half • P osition the spor t bar with the ends on a flat surf ace , as shown. • Fit and hold the front and bac k halv es of the KC TM light rac k against the spor t bar .
Assembl y 30 29 T aillight Housing T aillight Lens • Using saf ety scissors, remov e the taillight lenses and the taillight housings from the plastic connectors. Dispose of the plastic connectors. • F ace the rear of the vehicle. • Fit a taillight lens inside a taillight housing.

Battery Installation H 19 Important Note: Use only a P ower Wheels ® 12 v olt battery . Use of any other battery will damage your v ehicle. Mak e sure that you charge the battery f or at least 18 hours using the enclosed P ower Wheels ® 12 volt charger bef ore operating y our vehicle f or the first time.
If a battery leak develops, a void contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged batter y in a plastic bag. See inf or mation below f or proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or ey es, flush with cool water f or at least 15 minutes and call a physician.

23 T o Drive Caring For Y our V ehic le L Adv anced Use - High Speed Drive • Check all scre ws, retainers and protectiv e coverings regularly and tighten as required. Check plastic par ts on a regular basis f or crac ks or broken pieces . • During snowy or rain y weather , the vehicle should be stored inside or under a protectiv e cov er .

A new batter y should have been charged for at least 18 hours before using the vehicle for the first time. After first-time use, recharge the battery for at least 14 hours after each use.
