4 3. A SSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTA NT: Disengage blade, shut of f engi ne, wai t f or al l moving parts to stop, engage parking brake, remove key, and disconnect the w ire from the spark plug before servicing, cleani ng, or making any adjustments to the uni t .
5 3.2 INSTA LLING OCD0 1 TO THE MOWER DECK 3.2.1 Remove discharge chute f rom deck. For UltraCut Decks: Remove and discard discharge chute and hardware. Deck s w ith serial numbers 669,999 and lower req uire a flexible discharge chut e, kit # 109-3860.
6 3.2.5 Install the cable brack et (item 1) by the f oot pedal and leave the hardware loose. Use the correct m ount ing holes as shown in Figure 5A. FIGURE 5A FIGURE 5B 3.2.6 Install cable. Make sure the nut s ar e centered as shown in Figure 6. FIGURE 6 3.

8 3.2.11 Hook t he g ate assembly (item16) t o t he gate linkag e assembly (item 12). I nstall the washer (item15) and f asten with the hairpin (item 14) as shown in Figur e 10.
9 FIGURE 11B FIGURE 11C For 46”-60” Triton decks : a) Locate the corr ect mounting hole as shown in Figure 11D. I nstall two 5/16-18 x 1 bolts (item 13) and f asten to the deck w ith washer (item 6) and nyloc nut (item 2).
10 FIGURE 11E For 66” & 72” Triton decks: a) Install two 5/16-18 x 1 bolts ( item 13) and fasten t o t he deck with w asher (item 6) and nyloc nut (item 2) as shown in Figur e 11E. Dr ill Ø .375 hole in the deck t o mate up with the g at e link age assembly (item 12) w here shown in Figure 11F.
11 3.2.14 Slide the brack et that is shown in Figure 6, back and fort h t o adj ust the cable tension. Tak e up t he slack in the cable, but it should not be taut. Tig hten hardware to retain the bracket . 3.2.15 W hen pushing on t he spr ing, there should be a 1/16” gap between the spring and the blocker pivot plat e assem bly.
12 G0972 3.2.18 Remove the discharge chut e bracket f rom the discharg e chut e and retain hardware. Use the appropriat e t emplate provided as a guide to cut of f t he lip. Follow steps a) throug h d) . For UltraCut 52” -60” use templat e 109- 4091.

14 4. OPERA TION IMPORT A NT : Always mow w it h t he f lexible discharge chute installed and in t he dow n position. DA NGER POTENT IAL HAZARD ♦ An uncovered discharge opening will allow objects to be thr own in an operator’s or bystander ’s dir ect ion.
15 4.1 OPENING THE DISCHA RGE GA TE 4.1.1 Press the pedal into t he f orward lock position and t he dischar g e gate will be open. FIGURE 18 4.2 CLOSING THE DISCHA RGE GA TE 4.2.1 Depress the lower tab to unlock the pedal. Then t he dischar g e gate will then close off the discharg e opening .
