Pre-Start Make sure y ou understand the controls , their locations , their functions , and their safety requirements .
Operation 3. T o remov e the bags , shut off dec k dri v e, stop the engine and wait for all moving parts to stop . Open the hood and remov e the bags b y lifting up on the rear of the bag, then unhooking the front clip . Empty bags b y inv erting them.
Operation CAUTION The deck shea ve will become ver y hot. T ouching a hot deck shea ve can cause sev ere bur ns. Allow the deck shea v e to cool completely before removing the belt. 4. Pull the idler release handle and remov e the belt from the upper groove of the dec k sheav e .
Operation 7. Install the belt co ver using the tw o knobs . Install the discharge tube assembly b y slipping the upper end into the hood, then sliding the lo wer end ov er the blow er discharge opening . Use the latc hes to retain the lo wer end to the blow er .
Operation ramp angle . The trailer or tr uc k should be as lev el as possible . Important: Do Not attempt to tur n the unit while on the ramp , y ou may lose control and driv e off the side. A v oid sudden acceleration when driving up a ramp and sudden deceleration when backing do wn a ramp .
Maintenance Maintenance Note: Deter mine the left and right sides of the machine from the normal operating position. W ARNING While maintenance or adjustments are being made, someone could star t the engine. Accidental star ting of the engine could seriously injure y ou or other bystanders.
Maintenance Lubricate Grease Fittings Note: See char t for ser vice inter v als. 1. Stop engine , w ait for all moving parts to stop , and remov e key . Engag e parking brake . 2. Lubricate ttings with NGLI g rade #2 multi-purpose gun grease. R efer to the following chart for tting locations and lubrication sc hedule.
