9 Installing the Camera(s) and Monitor The DVR is t ypically connected to one camera installed inside the car. Other camera(s) can also be installed in different location s (for example, use the waterproof ca mera to the outside of vehicle). For installat ion procedure, please refer to t he guide that came with the camera(s) you purcha sed.

12 1 . 1 2 NE T W O R K C O N N E C T I ON This section on ly describes physical connection to an Ethernet network. This step must be co mpleted before the DVR can connect to the network.

14 2 M O U S E O P E R A T I O N EMV200 mob ile DVRs support 2 sources to control the DVR. It can be controlled with a mouse an d t he handheld IR remote cont rol. (For IR remote control, please re fer to Appendix C Remote Control) This chapter will cov er the basic operation using the mouse.

61 5 N e t w o r k i n g O v e rv i e w This chapter will give you a basic instruction on how to set up the DVR for netwo rk connection. It is highly recommended that yo u have a working knowledge of wh at a network is and how it wo rks. This wil l be h elpful in completing the netwo rking process.
62 5 . 4 V i r t u a l P o r t s A port number represen ts a "channel" or e ntryway for netwo rk communication s. Port numbers a llow diffe rent computers to utilize network resou rces without interfering with each other. P ort numbers most commonly appear in network p rogramming, particularly socket programming.

If you do not see a yellow bar like the one the arrow is pointing at, yo ur security settings may be too high.
73 Once the file fin ishes installing, you will return to the screen like the one below. Right click on the yellow bar and select “Run Add -on…” Install the MSX ML file when prompted to do so.
