- 8 - 4. INSTALLATION An EDH5 240 camera may be mounted in two wa ys: surface mount and flush mount. Select the one that meets your need s. Installation - Surfac e Mount 1. Paste the drilling template on the ceiling or wall. Please refer to the drilling template below .
- 9 - 5. Pull the cable s to be con nected to pow er and vide o cables into the outer ba se from the ceiling or wall. Attach power supply pigtail adapter to powe r wire if needed. 6. T ake a long Phillips pan head scre w with a washer and tighten it into a plastic anchor .
- 10 - 8. I n sert inner b ase int o outer base a nd secure using the 4 Phillips r emoved in the ear lier step. Prepos ition camera so it is facing approx imately in the desired direction. 9. A ttach video test cable to tes t point o n r ear of camer a module.
- 11 - 10. On ce the c amera view is as desire d, attach the c over to outer base w ith t he captive hex h ead screws. Installation - Flush Mount 1. Paste the drilling template on the ceiling or wall.
- 12 - 4. Remove dome cover (hex, captive screws) 5. U nscrew the 4 Philips screws (r etain for futur e use) to de tach the inn er base fro m the outer base. Set aside the outer ba se. 6. Scre w the 2 sp ring tabs in the or ientation sho wn to the slots a t both sides o f the inner base using the 4 Philips head screw s provided.
- 13 - 7. At tach pow er and video ca bles fro m sourc e to cable s from ca mera and pu sh e xcess wire back in to hole. Fold the spring tabs up. 8. Prepo sition camera so it is facing approximately in the desired direc tion. 9. Push the entire inner base into ceiling while holdin g the spring tabs with both hands.

- 17 - Press Set but ton to ente r SETUP Menu. In SETUP menu, use t he joystick to ma ke settings. User can do camera settings including Exposure, White balance, D ay/Night, Special and Image adjust. Please s elect the item by moving t he joystick UP or DOWN the n press SET to enter the set tings.
- 18 - 4.1.2 Shutter Select the shutter mode by moving the joystick LEFT or R IGHT . Select from Auto,1/50,1/60, 1/100,1/120,1/250,1/500 ,1/700,1/1000,1/160 0,1/2500,1/5000 and 1/8000 . 4.1.3 AGC (Auto Gain Cont rol – basic low light signal amp lification) Select the le vel you would l ike to choo se by mov ing the joystick LEFT o r R IGHT .
- 19 - Select “Return ” to return to the pre vious menu. 4.3 Day/Night These settings control the operation of the camera when t h e illumination le vel changes. Choices ar e Color at all times; B/W at all times ; or color when illumination is bright, switching to B/W in low light.

Select “Return” to return to the previous menu. 4.4.3.1 Mirror Select one of the 4 mode s below by moving the joystick LEFT or RIGHT .
- 21 - 4.4.6 Default Select “Y es” to load system settings to default factory value s. Or select “No” to disregard this option . 4.5 Image Adjust In this section, user can adjust Sharpness, Brigh tness and Contrast of the image. Please selec t the item by moving the joystick UP or DOWN .
